That's just it though, we could've bought a brand new RAV4 but instead we get the capability, luxury and performance of a luxury truck for half the price. I'm sure we will face other issues but so far it seems like a better deal than car payments. Time will tell....

I guess I'd say I get it, but to a point. I think if you need the utility/space that a car doesn't offer and you don't want a truck, and you value modernity and comfort and want those bells and whistles (and you have the funds) then dropping the cash for something like a LX 600 makes some sort of sense. I don't know if the majority of the people that own them actually need them. (Then there's the self-image and other psychological/psychosocial aspects at play for the kind of folks who buy them new.)
But also...wagons make more sense to me if you need room. (though obviously smaller) And I understand the crossover segment less than anything, it's fucking confounding to me.

Oh I'm with you, I would've gone that route over a new Rav4. Hell I had a moment I almost pulled the trigger on an LR4 before the VW fell in my lap.

In the United States at least I don't get the point of calling any of the BMW x models an SUV they're just crossovers. In Europe I kind of get why they call them SUVs because they don't really get real vehicles over there they only get crossover type things but they also don't have to do a lot of work themselves so a heavy duty vehicle just isn't needed

I agree. Could you imagine a Suburban over there? Wouldn't fit in most places.
Maybe BMW just wanst to have the X5 and 7 labeled that way here so they can say they sell SUVs? I know they call the X3 and others "sports activity vehicles" now...because they're too cool to call em crossovers.

@Speedytech7 I saw the other week that Europe is getting the Bronco in limited numbers, which is kinda surprising.

    Dude, deja vu.

I literally said the same exact thing yesterday when I was out in town; saw a BMW X and told myself that is just Bimmers Crossover.

    Especially the X1 and X2. They're a weird buy.
Same platform as the Mini Countryman too...which you can get an all wheel drive JCW version of and comes in at 301hp from factory.

We had the lr3 with the jag V8. Solid machine. The range Rover does feel better planted on the road and better built despite the repair bill. Between the two I think I would lean heavily to the RR.
    So like, a wagon?

Walking Dex tonight and as we're walking down our driveway to go back in thru the backyard, Dex dives under my truck and starts thrashing around. Hear a loud screech. Yank him back out from under and it looks like a cat in his mouth. Pulled the leash up so he was standing and used my other hand to grab what I thought was the cat. Turned out to be a fucking possum. Thing fell right to the ground and played dead so we walked around the block again and it was gone. That was nuts lol

This time of year we get a lot of possums, raccoons and skunks in our yard. Should be a fun spring. Thank god it wasn't a skunk

@Tour991 Kings are killing me these last few games. Good thing we had that 12 game point streak recently or they'd be lucky to get a wildcard spot in the post season

Why don't you just get a normal car caliper and hook up a cable to it?

this Sentra sure is practical and all but not very fun. I think I need to daily the Tacoma now lol

I need to take a bunch of measurements and see if I can replace the core support and fender or if it's truly fawked. Could definitely clean it up and sell it in this market for a little play money
