Sounds like a plan! I was debating a Viper-Cut as well… just couldn’t come up with a viable plan to conceal all the exposed innerds of the front bumper once removing the sides. Would be nice if a company made a premolded insert to match the OEM fender liner. After research, I found that the only benefit of this mainly the aggressive and aesthetically pleasing look. Maybe a very slightly gain in approach angle if you’re doing some serious wheeling. But even still… IM ALL IN! I still debate doing it. So if you’re serious, let me know. Would love to be a part of it and see how it is done before I just start blindly hacking on mine.

@Backdoc & @Taco1004 I’ve actually been thinking about the viper cut also, but I feel like it would look silly with my little 265’s lol

I learned that 285 mud terrains aren’t for me but if I go up to a 285 all terrain then I might do it.

 

The cool weather is back. So it's coffee by the fire.

 

Definitely agree… I’ve pretty much completed my truck the way I want it. Suspension, bumpers, racks and accessories… all done, but still haven’t pulled trigger on wheels and tires. $4k is a big pill to swallow and thought I’d save it for last. That said, I feel a bit goofy already running around lifted and all this other stuff done, and riding on stock aluminum and rubber. Would definitely like to get that taken care of before I start hacking more. Looking for a set of tall skinny’s in the near future. Thinking 33x12.5x18 AT’s… so I feel like a CMC is definitely going to happen before the Viper Cut.

 

Oh nice! Yeah wheels and tires were one of the first things I changed, because the tiny 245 highway tires that came on the SR5 were absolutely unacceptable lol

I’ve been thinking about going skinny (255/85/16) for my next set of tires as well since I already tried 285’s.

 

Oh, I definitely wanted them from day 1 with the truck. Hell, I had the intake and exhaust sitting at the house waiting before I even bought the truck! Lol! But I knew I wanted to go as big with tires as possible and once the suspension was on I would be buying another set. So I didn’t want to pull that trigger until I have the lift and clearance to do so. Glad I didn’t, I’ve changed my mind on wheels 4x already…

That’s really smart, I did not do that and I bought 33” mud terrains and then had to deal with getting rid of them and going back to my all terrains lol
