@dk_crew What were your alignment numbers like with the BTF Lowers + DK Uppers. I'm currently running the Camburg sealed 1.25 uniball UCAs with my DK LCAs maxed for caster/clearance at the rear and neutral front and sit around 3.3 degrees of caster. Drives pretty good actually, but camber is a little negative and cant do anything since they're not heimed. I'd like to possibly set my LCA cams both to neutral to hopefully get camber to play a little nicer.

I've got these sitting in my cart currently at work...

Before these LCAs I tried a few shops and they always reverted my max caster / clearance to put the truck back into spec ... further killing my clearance. So I moved to the DIY alignment approach on this site and continued DIY when I put these on. I got the camber in good shape (the linked thread had his at 88 - I think mine were 89 and 89.5 at the time). Tires are wearing well - 10k miles on them. Rotation coming up this weekend. NO CLEARANCE ISSUES!!! I have no doubt the caster is well over spec - if feels very high, but I never measured it and like the way it drives.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-do-an-alignment-at-home.252256/

For gaining clearance I think these are a great option. the JD Fab pivots also look awesome, but the BJs on my LCAs were completely shot and I wasn't ready for the larger snowball that would have created. I'd click the order button and continue with the never ending tinkering ... 2 kick ass looking trucks BTW

I set my alignment with the Poly Taco tabs.. so its really just toe. I just like to see what and how much all these components and mixed match of various parts/companies affect it all. No issues with binding or anything during lock, especially when wheeling? I'm curious of this will open doors to other issues somewhere else/down the road. I already trimmed my steering stops for my DKs, so if anything I may need to a bit more, OR.. it might be fine where they are at, especially to prevent any binding during those situations. I've grenaded 2 CVs in the past in those situations. .

I appreciate the input regardless.. and the kind words!

I haven't pushed it hard enough to break a CV so it's definitely possible there are issues beyond what I've done. I also haven't trimmed the steering stops so my turning radius sucks. I keep thinking I'll cut them, but I also think that will increase the risk of binding / CV issues. No tight switchbacks at the park I wheel so it's not an issue. Since I installed these I've been in the 'everything is working - don't muck with it' mode which has been nice.

Anyone else install these and put them to the test?

Appreciate the feedback. I think I'll start where my stops are at now.. and trim as I go. I definitely don't want to increase my turning radius if I don't have to. And.. CVs are still the weakest point and I'm ok with it. Easiest to replace.

Looks great. did you keep the hex tabs you have in the same spot? Have you gotten it aligned yet?

I did keep them in the same orientation/setup, yes. I knew the truck was aligned with those in place prior (really just setting toe at that point with the Poly Taco Tabs) and since the BTFs shift everything just forward, I decided to keep them the same as before and start there. It drove great on the 30 miles back after install. I will take it in to get the alignment checked and toe adjusted if needed.. but mostly just to see where its at caster wise now. I should have a decent amount between the BTFs plus my max caster alignment. Noticeable amount of added clearance at the firewall now, especially with the Taco Tabs maxing rear caster.

We'll see how it does the first time out wheeling.

I believe I read all 7pages now, but was falling asleep while doing so, but did I read correctly that the TacoTabs will work with these LCA's?? Just making sure, as these arms cost less than DK, and I'll be running dirty-5's soon.. Thanks again..

Been running these for a few months now, cut steering stop down as much as I could to gain more steering but holy smokes I lost a lot of turning radius. I can no longer go through a drive through with out doing a 2 point turn and just barely make it around tight traffic circles. Had I known this I probably would not have gotten these but I guess sacrifices must be made to clear 35s.

Good news is my 35s no longer rub the firewall and these are cheaper and don’t need to cut/grind/weld. Steering does feel “beefier” and I am experiencing less bump steering than before. When I was on stock LCA after maxing them out all the way forward even driving ofer a manhole would throw my steering wheel around and the alignment would often get knocked loose on the trail. Not a problem with these.

I wonder if the turning radius would be better with these LCA on a short wheelbase tacoma. I am considering switching from DCLB to ACSB.
