More than the JD kit would move it? Might be easier to build something from scratch since the steering would probably need to move forward, too.

I’m thinking like 3”-4” forward. I was interested in reusing a factory crossmember to keep the steering/diff/control arm orientation all the same without much headache.

I could see that. What’s the plan for the upper arms?

I’d like to maintain the factory geometry and use the factory upper mount as a jig. I’ll run tube around the engine bay and have the uca mount off that.

Are these supposed to bottom out? I threaded the first part onto the hose until it bottomed out and I think I should have left a bit of room so I could rotate the fitting. Not sure if this is too much gap and if I should rotate the hose part of the fitting back until it fits flush.

You need to bottom out the hose then rotate it back out 1/4 to 1/2 turn then you should be able to bottom out the fitting.

Thought about turning the hose end until it’s flush with the fitting end, but not sure if that would actually change anything. Technically it’s bottomed out. Guess I’ll find out soon enough if it’s a problem haha

my buddy did it the way you showed first, had a leak. took it off and redid it to the way we found online (what i described earlier) and his leak was fixed.
He had full hydro and didn't like the thought of leaks as he drives on the road often.

Decided not to trim the casting, going to try to tie the driver lower mount into the tube, the casting and a truss
