Bare spots in wheel well

I just bought a 23 trd or and was wondering if any one else has spots missing the sound deadener/rust prevention stuff in the wheel wells. What would be something good to protect the metal spots from rusting like maybe bed liner or something?

(Don't mind the blue painters tape, not sure how it got there)

 

Looks fine to me, knowing how my '18 wheel well looks it seems Toyota got more generous with the sound deadening spray. Mine doesn't have nearly as much, only some near the firewall area.

I don't think that stuff is really intended for rust prevention but I'm sure it helps, the primer they use under there does a good job at that.

 

Ya, I might try to just fluid film or oil coat it frequently. I live in Ma so I am mostly just worried about the salt during the winter

spray cosmoline, or PB Blaster Surface Shield in there and get the metal coated. Ski
