After restoring this truck for what seemed like forever, waiting to complete the heavy mods, making repairs, and shopping around, I finally sent the truck to Economy Paint & Collision to get an -extensive- prep and full repaint.
    .
    .
Got the truck back in July after a couple weeks at the shop, and one month later THIS happens:
    .

    .
    Detail:
    Close up.jpg
    .
    .
I noticed it as soon as I got home (I daily a work truck). Watched camera footage for 7 hours before I found out what happened. I guess he didn't like the color? Sure hope his shopping cart is okay...
    .
    .
Most of the scuffs came out easily and since then she's looking better but that booboo definitely sticks out...
    IMG-4006.jpg
    .
    .
Does anyone have any good paintless dent repair recommendations near orange county, CA?
    OR...
I've never done it but maybe I can push/pull it out myself?
Might be easy to get to behind the door panel. The dents are dull and not very deep.

    Thx.

    That’s hard to watch.
Sorry man. I hate to see that.

As far as PDR, maybe try the style that uses “glue” and a slide hammer method.
Other that, you’ll have to pull the door panel off and work around the window components.

You’re right, that’s plain painful to watch. Not sure the slide hammer will work on that stiff metal on the rocker panel. Best bet would probably be to pull the interior panel and work on it from the inside.
Sorry you have to deal with that..

It sucked at first but I figure he's got bigger problems than I do.
This is the only aggressive bum that comes by our complex, throws trash everywhere, breaks bottles, yells at people and things.
When he visited before he didn't seem to care until it was painted lol.
    Haven't seen him since either...
I've never spoken to or confronted this guy but he's making a bad name for the respectful guys who are just looking for bottles/cans.

Yeah funny enough I DID have sliders before the paint job but all that metal weighed over 500lbs and since this truck does more prerunning than crawling, figured i'd shed a little weight.
Im not sure they would've helped to be honest. I later matched up a cart to the damage and it was too high for the slider.

I might try that PDR myself, maybe a little heat and pushing from the inside might help.

Had a similar thing happen to my Suburban....only by a shopping cart. Just like yours, it smacked on lower door panel, right on bodyline.

PDR did not work for mine, as paint was cracked down to metal. I had it repainted.

Some people are just garbage assholes. Why TF would you do that to somebody else's rig?

I can only think of 2 reason.
    1. Entitled green warriors who think vandalizing vehicles they view as "dirty" is justified.
    2. Lazy asses that are jealous of other people having nice vehicles. "Look at that thing all decked out. He must have stolen his money from poor victims like me."

I hate people. We need a plague.

Myke Toledo at Dent Time in San Diego is probably one of the most skilled PDR techs in the US and happens to be within a reasonable drive to you. All his work is documented on social media so you can judge it yourself before going to him.

one time in my 1st gen I was at a stop light near a bridge with my windows down, suddenly I hear someone yelling 'hey HEY red truck, red truck yeah! You!!'

I look over thinking someone has a comment or question about my truck, it's a guy pushing a cart full of random stuff under the bridge and he has a big grin on his face.

He sees me look at him, his grin quickly fades into a scowl and he shouted "FUCK. YOU" with both fingers to drive the point home.

    Completely unprovoked

Homeless people just don't like Tacomas I guess
