2CDF7FE0-088D-4846-A064-D9DAE68B0BD3.jpg I’ve been reading this thread exclusively for almost 2 weeks like my bedtime homework! I finally own my 2016 TRD Sport (Made the final payment in November). I have a stack of changes I’m about to make with the $ I’ve been saving since my final payment.

-New 265/75 R16 BFG KO2s are on their way from Custom Offsets mounted on all black 16x8 Pacers (If anyone is looking for my OEM rims let me know. 17x7.5 +4mm offset)
-Ordered the ARE-Z series topper (4 weeks until install)
-Bought the raptor grille with 3 ambers to get rid of the OEM chrome plastic cheese grater (again, let me know if anyone is interested).
-Total chrome badging delete. The whole truck should be Barcelona Red and black when I’m done.
-Started building my overland decking and storage design

I’ll post before/after photo’s when I make my first change and keep it updated. Things should move quickly. The first 56k miles have been bone stock. Now that I finally have the title I feel like a free man! So much inspiration on here.

Thanks for the photos. The middle plug (in your hand) looks ‘normalish’ for a plug that old. The one in the ‘old vs new’ photos has an odd looking build-up. Any idea what that is? (i.e. additives in fuel, burning oil, stuff you added to the gas, rust or contaminants, etc.) Do you think the plugs are running too cold?

Guess I better change the plugs on my Outback. 10 years, 156K. (Darn thing keeps starting every morning…)

Looks great! I think they fit the green better than the gray. I did like them on mine at certain times though. Sweet to see them on someone else’s truck!

My truck gained 100 lbs today.

Front skid was easy, when I used my hardened kneepads. I finally had to put my circular saw case and a couple of 2x4 blocks to hold the %$&*#$% transmission skid high enough to maneuver it.

And bruised my arm in the maneuvering. But ... I do not think I said anything worse than "damn" the entire ordeal.

I’ve ran 93 octane since I’ve bought the truck. Added sea foam to the gas tank about 3-4 times per year on average I’d say. Not sure what it would be but glad I changed them. Definitely not burning any oil

A couple of your plugs look like they have rust on them. Maybe it's something else but if it is rust you might want to be sure you don't have water leaking into that/those cylinders. Maybe head gasket?

Yes I agree they look rough and was happy I changed them out. I went ahead and changed the oil while I was doing it. How would I tell if there is water? Would it show from oil drained from the pan? I mean it runs great but those plugs do have me slightly concerned. I’ve gotta admit they seemed torqued in more than the 13 ft lb of torque it calls for. I had to turn probably twice as hard getting them broke loose to come out of the block. I put anti seize on the threads of the new plugs. I hope to god it’s just carbon or additive build up

You liking it so far? The locks seem to be somewhat low quality and there are some minor fit and finish issues but overall it seems pretty nice.

Actually, come to think of it, the reddish-orange color on the plugs reminds me of the photos some of the guys have posted of their catch can mods. 100k+ miles of blow-by could really add up.

HEY! I know that church. It's way off from the busy road on farmland. We were driving past, saw it, and ... WTH?

IIRC, a farmer built it in memory of his departed wife? It has attracted travelers from around the world. Cool stuff/story.

Pulled off the inner kick panels looking for the factory trailer plug relay, nope couldn't find it , but the interior got a vacuum and wipe down, scrubbed the weather teck floor mats. Then pulled off the wipers and the front cowl piece, cleaned the screens and scrubbed it. The rubber cups that the wiper arms sit in were plugged solid with debris. Hopefully tomorrow I will give the outside a much over due scrub. Just wanted to add I have a very large cedar tree where I park my truck and the fallout from the tree really plugs everything up
