Today I've endured quite the headache of trying to replace the outer tie rod ends on my 2.7; So far I've purchased two different sets from two different stores, both claiming to fit my specific year, model, and trim...
...if you haven't guessed already, neither set fits my truck.

Are there any 2.7 owners who've replaced their outer tie rod ends that could help me find ones that fit? Both sets I've purchased so far seem to be way longer than they need to be; one set has a larger thread diameter than the inner tie rod, and the other set has a larger thread diameter on the ball joint than what will fit the knuckle.

This is what's on there currently:20230407_215253.jpg

These are both the parts I've purchased that do not fit:

Any help finding the right parts would be appreciated. I'm looking for something preferably with a Zerk fitting that is greaseable, and I'm hoping I don't have to get them from the dealership. Gotta do what I gotta do though.

    Thanks in advance! :help:

Rock auto will have them for sure. You need base model, 2wd type (5 lug).

The ones you found are for pre runner, 4x4 (6 lug).

These certainly look more like the ones I need. Funny enough, I even asked the guy at O'Reilly to verify the compatibility with my truck, and we both confirmed they were compatible from what was on his screen.

I just took another look at the website, and came across this:Capture.jpg

Boy, do I feel stupid...admittedly, I was in a hurry to get over there before they closed in the next half hour though.
They might want to put that in their algorithm instead of hiding it in the product description though.

But anyways, thank you so much for this! Hopefully the old ones will ride it out a little longer until I can have these delivered.
