I was hoping the reveal was going to be the NY Auto Show, but it's looking like all we get is that tailgate pic. I would think if they were going to announce it they would do it on Friday, as weekends get less attention in the media.

They wouldn't have been able to coax 5 mpg out of the existing V8 without introducing new features like cylinder deactivation, which comes with its own reliability risks.

 

The NY Auto Show runs the whole next week until April 16. It's possible Toyota may choose to unveil it next week.

 

If you watch the video I just posted David said the Tundra had 12 teaser pics. He thinks a few more teasers and the unveil should be in 5 to 6 weeks

 

The tundra was also released early because there was a leak of a dealer only video and Toyota decided just to show the whole truck instead of everyone looking at a blurry cellphone video of a video

 

A lot of the on here I heard else where , all I'm saying is I don't like getting my hopes up and then being disappointed. Also it doesn't help when there is a half page rant about people not believing him ....this is why I am hesitant to believe everything someone posts until I see it .

Really? I feel like that would be too early of a reveal considering how long the Tundra took. I'm thinking sometime around June/July since Toyota knows people were mad at how long it took the Tundra.

 

It will be May , I think there was already speculation of May. Didn't the 3rd gen debut late May or was it Early June? I think July Is too late personally
