    Snugtop on.

Likes: better rain gutter than my leer 180.

Dislikes: Leaks at the bulkhead from day one, maybe at the sides too. I blame the installer. Also, gap at the tailgate and glass, kinda lame, about 1/2". Don't want to scoot the canopy any more forward. I'll fill it with some foam and or get a tailgate reinforcement panel.

Sometimes I forget just how awe-inspiringly beautiful the US is. I live in Florida, but I love out West for the sites like this. Incredible that you're able to drive around and witness history like that!

I'm sure the extra headroom is worth it too, have you thought about silicone for the problem areas? And I'm sure you have so I shouldn't ask, but have you talked to the installer about these issues? For how much they cost those issues should be remedied for free.

Crutchfield is my go to. I'm also a tinkerer with audio, I've sunk quite a bit into a home theater and always upgrade the audio on any vehicle I own.

I installed a headunit in my wife's sonata last week so I messaged Crutchfield and the tech was able to walk me through getting the rear view camera to work properly as it wasn't coming on when wired "correctly" according to the products install page.

If @4WDTrout decided to upgrade their Soundstage I highly recommend getting the Metra Toyota harnesses for the speakers as it makes the install pretty seamless. You can even reuse the old speakers' mounting plastic if you just cut the factory speakers out of them. I did that for the speakers and the tweeters and it worked wonderfully.

Those look fantastic, well done! I'm hoping that coating them with bedliner then wrapping in Kevlar felt might add some shock absorption to them. Might even throw CCF behind them to give an extra cushion.

Does anybody jack up their truck directly on their skids? I have full RCI skids and they claim I can jack the truck up utilizing the front skid as the jack point.

Late night/early morning thought (had another quick stint in the hospital tonight and just got released) what do you think of Mass Loaded Vinyl? I have a decent amount from a roll left and hadn't even thought of it. I'm hoping that if I create a sandwich of CCF/MLV/Kevlar Fabric, the combination would remove sound and absorb blows better than any rigid plastics.

Do you just place the jack where the stock front jack location was?

The RCI front slider has a spot intended for that, but i also will just put the jack @ the bolt holes since that is where they attach to the frame. Because my truck is lifted a bit, I use a piece of 2x6, or 4x4 between the jack and the slider as a spacer.

Changed the front/rear dif oil, as well as the transfer case oil. Drained and filled the transmission and flushed the power steering fluid. What a pain in the ass with full skidsIMG_6506.jpg

Yesterday I got the bedrack installed and ordered new hardware for my tent. Also gave the interior a much needed and overdo cleaning. On this topic, I recently bought a Shark brand car vac. It did ok, but not sure if it was worth the price to not have to drag the shopvac out of the basement.
Today was new wipers and a nice drive to Bass Pro. Took the long way home and stopped for a glamor shot.
Tonight I'm downloading the manual for the Switchpros setup that arrived this past week and hopefully will get installed one evening next week.

Oil change. Pulled plug and covered with finger to install Fumoto valve. 8" of hose into a 2 gal gas can. No more splashing of oil into a drain pan. What was I waiting for?
Power steering fluid change. 8 yrs and 48k. Took 2 quarts Valvoline ATF to come out clear.
Got all 5 drive line zerks greased. Wish I had a friend with a lift.

Drove on a road I had seen from a train like 5 years ago and always wondered if I'd ever find it. I found myself on it entirely randomly today.

I changed my plugs after 30k on them. I’m about to hit 90,000 miles in a few days!

Then I cleaned the engine bay and I need to do the other fluids next…
