This truck has the same problem as the Ford Lightning, too big.

This is the electric truck I'm waiting for https://www.alphamotorinc.com/wolf

I'm not holding my breath though.

I'd buy this over he Tacoma EV but they've been showing these renders for almost 4 years and one clay model. Great looking trucks and cars but they're just a graphics company overall. Someone should buy their designs though.

    From their FAQ.s

A lot of Walmarts already have DC fast chargers like EVgo and Electrify America. I've even been to one that had Tesla Supercharger. If Walmart is planning on owning their own chargers that means they think they can make money. I my neck of the woods there seems to be a Walmart on every corner. If someone didn't have home charging it would be pretty convenient.

Also, charge a yearly subscription and get a charging discount. THat would be a great pull for more business.

Nothing wrong with that, fossil fuel gets big tax breaks too. I'd be ok with no tax breaks for anyone and let the market figure it out, but that ain't going to happen.

Around here Walmart uses electric Transit vans for their delivery service. These are always charging at the EA chargers in the parking lot. I’m sure building their own chargers is an effort to bring those costs down as well as having dedicated charging space so they don’t wait in line and reduce daily delivery rates.

Tax breaks AND federal subsidies. The US oil companies are swimming in money. Our money in the front AND back end.

I'm in a similar boat here. I have a standalone GPS while everyone else is using their phone or car head unit and looking at me funny. Otherwise, Bluetooth if I get a phone call while driving. I personally could care less..then again I couldn't tell you the last vehicle I owned with power windows either.

GPS and the CarPlay definitely have their place for some, an old friend of mine was a traveling copier/printer repairman. Nuff said. Though he still kept a big map book in his car.

Double driving range compared to what, the other Toyota EVs they don’t produce? Toyota has never, and will never, be the bleeding edge of any tech. To think they’ll even match the range and/or efficiency of the competition is laughable at best. They’ll offer 10 year old tech that their engineers have tweaked for a bit more reliability. It’s the Toyota way.

They have one EV so double that and it's high 400 mile range sub 500 mile EV. That's pretty good. Also, they currently match the range of some current EV's now with the bz4x @ 250 miles range.

2035 was pushing it, 2032 is a bigger challenge. Power delivery infrastructure hopefully will kick up installation a couple notches. Never know where the US will be though in 8 1/2 years. SInce I work so close to home I could be happy with an EV bike. But my income doesn't justify it yet.
