Legitimately bummed me out that someone beat me to it… my motor is already built just saving up for a transmission next

 

The electronics seem shockingly happy

It looked like his radio was dead too but maybe intentional so I couldn’t dock him a point there

the electronic shifter thing is weird and a big no for me

the dash gauges are kosher with me tho so that seals the decision of keeping the stock dash or not

 

Things gonna over heat off-road in a heartbeat. The only way to fit a real radiator is to completely remove the core support and even then the heads will be on the firewall.

 

I think this is the same guy isn’t it? He’s done a couple swaps now.

This is basically how my setup is. Once its in for good I'll see about fitting a rad up front. If it won't fit, then it goes in the bed.

 

that’s where I ended up, it was gonna take a monster custom radiator in front to fit it and than clearance to the fans is still an issue but mine was mainly riding 5500 rpm while still only doing 35-40 was my main issue. Zero issues with a big Ron Davis in the bed now.

My truck is my daily until I can pick up something else, but way my life is don't think that's going to be anytime soon.

Makes it really difficult to get anything done on it when I cant afford to be out a vehicle for more than a day.

 

I still do, bypass chatter keeps me wake on those long drives
