I'm trading in my 2017 for the last of the 3rd gen. Ordered exactly the same truck, access cab TRD off road automatic. Love my current truck, hope I'm doing the right thing...

Oh okay thanks. Yes, I think many folks are thinking the same. High resale on their current Tacoma while upgrading to the last of the 3rd gens. My 2020 has been great and I don’t think in my situation I would be worth while.

yes, the trade-in value was great, otherwise I wouldn't have either. To be honest, the thing that got me was the Blue Crush... I walked past one in the show room in December it kinda just grabbed me LOL. So then I justified the colour change with the other stuff about last of the 2023 etc haha. I like my magnetic grey, but I was ready for some Blue.

Yes, nice colour! You will also benefit from TSS, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and the power adjustable drivers seat. Having all that already, for me there is not much incentive. But If money was no object I’d buy another. Especially a TRD Pro in SO before they’re gone for good or If I could even find one around here. Anyhow, Enjoy your new truck!

Put down a deposit in early November, got told this last week I’m now ‘first on the list’ for the next allocation that matches my specs (‘23 OR, manual tran)

Don’t know if it’ll actually be soon or if that was just BS but I’m ready by now..

A little frustrated with this whole process, ordered early January, but fingers crossed the wait is about over. Surfing the dealers website this morning they listed an identical truck with sale pending. Plugging the vin (all I have is my prebuild vin so can't match them up) into toyota tracker shows that is either on site or on a truck currently in transit to site. I know the dealership doesn't have any control over shipments, so I don't pester them about it, but a heads up call would have been nice if this is the truck. It was the only Lunar Rock the dealership had allocated when I reserved it.

Wish I could have gotten blue to replace the 2011 blue one I have (bummed big time). Not a one allocated in the northeast region and dealer said unlikely able to order one. Checked a couple of dealers in the region south of me (Harrisburg, PA). They said even if they had one they wouldn't sell it to me since I was out of state and out of their region. Settled for Lunar Rock.

I put my deposit down at the end of December, and they said it was indeed a rare truck, but they had one coming. I was actually dealing on one in the show room, but they had put the lift on it and I didn't really want the lift or side bars for the price. Lunar rock is a great colour though, I'd have considered it if the access cab came in it.

Thanks! I am less excited about the new media options, more bummed about losing my CD player... the power seat with height adjustment is kind of nice. The safety stuff I will turn off first thing. Mostly it was the colour and the fact that it was 6 years newer and the last of it's kind. Hoping to be able to post a pic this week if it gets here.

DragonPro23 was saying last month he got word that MT production was being cut off…so hope that isn’t true for your sake.

I got a TRDOR 6MT and wouldn’t have purchased a Tacoma if it didn’t have the stick. just makes it unique and nostalgic for me

Hey @DragonPro23 do you know by any chance is the salvia ace the only ship used to bring trucks up to the northeast Newark port ? I see it’s on its way back to Veracruz now suppose to get there the 17th. Is that my only shot for my truck to get on a ship or do they use others ?
