Wiring Project

Over the past month or so I have done a little wiring project on my Taco. With all the lights I have on the truck I wanted to install a more professional looking wiring setup.

Here is where I started from.



Even though this worked for me I had a need to install another relay and with this setup it was not possible.

So I went and bit the bullet on a completely customized solution. Started out with a PowerTrays Tray along with a Bussman Relay/Fuse and a Circuit Breaker. Along with wire, connectors and tools for the project.

The biggest issue I had was the connections that would marry up with the connection in my truck for all the lights and such. Tried multiple connectors until I decided on using Deutsch Connectors.

Quite pleased with the results and it looks a lot better...

I used similar power center and added toggles for all my lights on the console: top is backup, middle is ditch, bottom is front bumper bar.

I need to take some new pictures. These are with my old grill installed. Have a new one on it now.



The lights in the wheel wells and under the doors are currently disconnected. Waiting on DD Stage RGBW Rock Lights.

 

My Rack, Grill and Bumper light bars use Toyota switches in the upper roof console. The other lights, wheel rock lights, door rock lights, Grill LED strip and rack scene lights are all using Toyota switches to the left of the steering wheel.

Oh and the Rack Light Bar is also connected to a momentary switch on my shift knob. This way if some doesn't want to turn their high beams off I hit them with a 38 inch LED Light Bar.
