Lift difference isn't something I'd worry about. I'd hope it is greater lift but being non interference I'm sure there's room for it. The duration change is interesting.

Also, same. Been looking at buying a different vehicle for 2-3 years.

Is the 5VZ pretty similar to the 1MZ then, just with a longer stroke and iron block or something?

Going purely off duration, it doesn’t seem it’ll add much

Architecture is very similar between MZ and VZ. But they're not the same family. Timing setup on a MZ from an electrical standpoint is the same though, which is nice since Haltech has a preset for those.

But I do wonder if the 3vz intake plenum could be adapted. It’s got ACIS. May be decent gains across the board with variable runners

They are different. They both mount the way but are set up a little different do to the wiring upgrades.
Kind of like what they did with the gas tanks.

ACIS would be nice for NA guys trying to eek some more power out for sure. Maxima had their version of it and it was noticable. The Turbo 5VZ group has been working on adapting a Skunk2 Honda B series plenum hat to the 5VZ.

The GR is getting a Holley EFi hat bolted onto a custom velocity stack intake. The 2ar gained 30wheel from as similar setup. Kinda hoping for similar results on the gr

I'll check for you in a little bit. You can compare it to the one in the 2000 parts truck. I'll see if I can find a part number.

Yeah we've seen people use that holley high ram hat on VG and VZ and it's a good one but tough on space.

The skunk is pretty compact and convenient to get a large throttle body and forward facing.

Marcs designed a custom one to use the RCF throttle. (And take up less space) But no clue if he’ll market it or it’ll be a one off. My cars got more product testing coming up in a few months

GR looks fancy with the new header design (cast stainless, smoother transition to the head) and the new intake
