That roof rack is probably impacting your mileage more than anything (probably to the tune of 2 MPG). Take it off when you are not using it.
It's actually possible your RTT could be helping though (see this post).

Towing is something i miss. I have a camper, a 20ft trailer, and a tractor. But, wife owns a retail store now so we dont really camp anymore, and we r selling property i bought tractor for so I dont really need to tow. I missed the option though, amd this trick doesnt have towing package although it has hitch and full hookup. I even have a fuse for trailer brakes which i dont understand.

    That sucks.

Pretty much every gas station carries E0 here, just gotta select 91 or higher.

Geezus dude. On Monday, take the Tacoma to the dealer, take the absolute fucking of a lifetime on the trade, get a full size diesel and be done with it.
    Life is too short.

Nobody will be able to convince you to like your truck. Get rid of it and get what you want. As long as you can afford it, life is too short to not have what you want. Luckily for you the Tacoma has awesome resale value.

I was referring to the just released 2023 Colorado Z71. They are just starting to ship to dealers now. The Canyon even has a Denali.

Guess I'm an odd one. I went from a 3/4 Duramax to a 1st Gen Tacoma and never looked back. Full size truck was nice at many things. But I hated driving it in snow and ice and any time I went off pavement usually meant pulling the winch cable.

Sold the Tacoma and jumped into my 3rd gen 6 speed manual. I enjoy the truck a lot. If they drop the manual for the 4th gen then I'll be keeping the truck for the long haul. If not, I'll get another new one in a few years.

But with that said, I think you really miss that diesel power. I know all about it. I also went against the grain and bought a Chevy z71 4x4 Colorado with the 2.8 diesel and enjoy daily driving and towing with that truck more than the Tacoma. Fuel mileage is knocking at 30mpg freeway. I've got over 130k on the Colorado with only one issue to date, a bad torque converter that was still under warranty. Only regret is I didn't delete it when I had the chance. That's my biggest worry with that truck or any modern diesel is the emissions system.

My Tacoma has over 110k with no issues.

Oh ok, got ya. There was actually a Colorado Z71 right next to the Tacoma I bought. I didn't even look at it because I wanted the options in the Aftermarket the Tacoma comes with. But, I wont lie... if I had Denali features in this Tacoma, I may be having a different conversation right now. I'm just a little spoiled i guess. Its a silly thing really.

This is something I have thought really long and hard about.... just keep the Tacoma for a few years, suck it up, and if I don't want it, pass it on to my son (or keep it as a toy) and buy me a nice new 2026 full size pickup. Hell, by then though, there may be no more diesels.

38k!? That's a great trade in price, granted I realize you have a lot of money tied up into it. Could always part out and sell/trade in.

One thing I will say, the new Tacomas come out next year and based on everything I'm reading, there will be no more MT :(.

That leaves the gladiator as the only truck you can buy in MT after 2024. I'm considering trading mine in this year for a 23 with an MT, just for that reason alone.
