I had a 2021 3.0 diesel silverado. 4 trips to the dealer, 3 on limp mode. 1 for DEF, 3 for hard crank. Under 20k miles less than 18 months. I noped out. Too much money invested to cross my fingers and hope that nothing crapped out when its out of warrantee and on my dime. I was fortunate that the truck market was still good and I didn't take a bath on it. So, thats why I'm a bit salty.

I just hope they increase cab size or somehow make it more roomy and comfortable to passengers in the back seat.

I'm very excited to see the 4th gen tacoma. Im actually in the market for a truck and in no rush. Currently in a 4runner(which I love).

I’m actually about to buy one of those but an AT4. The boys won’t fit in the back of a midsize and I drive too much to have a 6.2L. New Ford Powerboost looks awesome but not at the price.

I’d love one of the voodoo Tundra Pros but not at that gas mileage. One of the best looking truck body styles in recent history IMO.

I'm thinking battery placement will affect cab sizes if that's where they decide on placement. Time will tell.

If you need more cab room get a Tundra. I really hope they stop making mid size trucks bigger.

Agreed. They need to go back to mini truck size. Not like the ford maverick, needs to still be a truck, rear wheel drive or 4wd, body on frame.

The fuel cost was about break even vs the 5.3 considering the extra cost of diesel fuel. Just for reference.

No. Trucks need to keep getting bigger, wider, longer, and heavier. Because that’s what focus groups want.

Would be nice if next Tacoma was a bit bigger inside. Doesn’t need to be any wider, just more legroom, front and especially back.

I'm really hoping the tacoma meets expectations as it would likely give us some input on the 6th gen 4runner. Next vehicle will either be a 4runner or an f250 tremor. Toyota better stop kicking the can down the road on the T4R.

China has delivered on that need! Yes it's real and you can buy one for $2k

Any shred of dignity is not included. But the batteries are!

That’s a pretty big difference in vehicle choices. What do you want to see changed on the 4Runner? It’s already pretty near perfect. Why change it?

To be sold in Kalifornia the California Air Resources Board (CARB) must certify the vehicle's emissions through an Executive Order. No EO, no sale here. No sale here, likely no sale anywhere. What I posted was the first CARB EO I've seen for a 2024 Toyota model. It has started.

Donut Media on YouTube did a video on this or one similar. Cost them over 8k when all said and done. They even covered the entire process before then reviewing the truck.

Was a good and fun video.
