Hey guys I know shit's been crazy up there with Lake talure and everything else but if anybody can find the time to go by the 99 and take a couple pictures of the Kings River I'd be much appreciated.

If anyone is close to Lindy's landing and can make the time to go down there and take a couple pictures trying to plan something for July

My house is right around the corner from jumping on the 99.

I know most of the places around the river is fully or partial submerged

 

That's what I was seeing so far. But it's been worse because they didn't let water out.
I think they are a little more prepared but idk how much water Pine Flats dam let's out.
They have been letting a lot out to prepare for the snow melt so I guess I'll play it out

hi not many 559 members here. If there are we have yet to meet up i guess. Been wanting to overland with some local people but could never get enough people together to do something simple like bald mountain lol. Most of the time its overland camping with family and in laws.

There seems to be two categories out here - tons of clowns on the FB 559 group that don't associate here, or those that don't associate with that group and instead associate here

TW is easily 100 times better

That said, hope you find some people to roll with

Bald Mountain is easy though, should be no issue with a stock rig

 

Only easy as easy can be. Only difference is, are you willing to hit the obstacles. Most won't.

Just moved into the area. Looking to run some trails at some point.

I’ve heard swamp lake is fun. Where is bald mountain? Similar area?

 

@nDub Bald mountain is closer to Fresno. It is by Shaver Lake.

 

Lots of trail in the SNF area. Trails depends on your comfort level and vehicle build. A Camry can make it to bald from tamarack side and lots of guys will say bald is fairly easy because they're on the fire service road going to the tower without hitting the obstacles.

I should specify that I moved into the Clovis area so fairly close to shaver I think. I’ll need to get my rig down here before I can do anything serious. My Tacoma is my daily driver.

Did the Dusy a couple years ago and had a lot of fun besides my alternator giving up the ghost and my brother shearing the top bolts on his knuckle and my dad breaking both front leaf springs… ha!
