That's true. Though it is welded versus a DIY kit. But if you're welding yourself I guess that doesn't factor in.

I think I'm just going to get sliders for now. I see sales are more common with bumpers anyway so I'll wait a little longer

Probably a good call. Usually some Memorial Day or July 4th sales. Might as well wait and see.

Youre gonna need a whole new core support if you plan to get hardcore enough to damage the HREW cause those holes for your charge pipes are tear starting spots

Whichever pipes go through your fender aprons and edge of your core support, thats all high stress area you cut through.

My point is that area is going to tear out before you even stress the HREW sliders.

I just don't want my clumsy ass denting my door or something stupid if I can help it. Would prefer it to take as many hits as it can before a visual deformation occurs

I've dropped ledges and dented the HREW but they haven't deformed at all as a whole

    Ok, noted, thanks

There is a dark spot on the sliders in front of the kickout where it came to rest against a tree and stopped the truck from moving forward. These sliders have taken a lot of abuse since 2020. I have used the kickout to slide against a tree or rock to make a sharp pivot turn where it pushes the backend around.

Yeah both my sets have bounced back remarkably well. Honestly to me their video is more of a reason that you should never need more than the HREW haha

Should I be taking the rest of that picture as a sign that sliders aren't enough? lol
