You should try minimalist camping. Just sleep in the truck bed like gq did then you can complain all day about the bugs bothering you

 

I'm planning on being up there Thursday evening as well. I have my site reserved from Thursday till Sunday anyway. Hopefully, if there aren't any surprises at work, I'll be there just before dark on Thursday.

This is especially nice if you also don't bring any sort of mattress, sleeping bag, or rain shelter.

 

I once only had an iso mat and a sleeping bag. Luckily, I'm short and fit just right in the back seats.

 

I'm going to try sleeping in the bed of my truck this trip and if it's not working have my hammock as a backup

 

I should be there Friday. Not sure when I will be coming from Southbend so hopefully I will leave early

 

Finished the sleeping platform. Roasted some peanuts. Radio on the charger. Nearly ready.

 

Yeah, good ole GC is a role model for sure. Lol

 

Is anybody from SE WI planning to convoy up? Last year we did some nice roads in the drifltless area near baraboo. A nice water crossing too. Although I forgot where the water crossing was.

 

Peanuts pass the taste test...my son didn't go running for a glass of water after a handfull. He did say though, that there was a bit of zing there.

Although it really depends on the weather and how much rain there has been. I went about a month after we had gone through and it was dry.

 

Says its gonna tack me 6 hours to get there... probably 2-3 pm is my guess

 

2-3 pm is 'bout the time Kimm'r and I should be at camp. I have a bottle of Bullet Rye for you. (Or should I get a bottle of Bourbon?)

 

I'll be going up after work Thursday. The water crossing was on Hay road, near Avoca.

I guess. Bit of a drive though and everyone froze their asses off trying to sleep. Except Pat.

 

I want to get out there eventually. This year would have been tough to begin with, and then I decided to take all of January off.
