Ok, a couple test sets for LED lights ready. I'm getting a few testers for these and will hopefully have them for sale soon.

Guess I'm going to need to get some broken tab LED lights myself before the price goes up!

Very cool product....ever thought of making them for taillight? My taillights have three of the four mounting tabs broken off!

This is awesome. I'm going to snag these.

Question: I also broke the tab that is located on the bottom inside towards the grill, located directly beneath the top inside clip this kit includes. It has a component where you slide it in.

Are you able to print that?

Not at this time. I have no access to a 4Runner to model the tabs off of and the current process is very much model, print, fit, revise, print, fit, revise.... you get the point.

I am trying to model these now to fix the broken ones on my LED housing but its not going well. This is something that doesn't lend itself as well to just using CAD. I'm attempting to use Photogrammetry to model it but the results are not very good, I may invest in a 3D scanner but I'm not sure I will drop that amount of money yet.

Do I understand this correctly… can this be used even when those weak tabs are not YET broken? To prevent them from breaking? When the LED tabs are ready, count me in.

Would be interested in them too, especially if they work for the MoriMeso Taillights. Cause I have a set with both of their mounting tabs disintegrated.

You are correct, these will fit over stock tabs and reinforce them to help prevent breaking.

Just need to get them into the hands of the testers. Once I get feedback that they work I'll start printing more.

    Sorry, missed your comment.

Thanks for the help! Ha. You missed it by just a few days. If I need to revise the design I'll keep you in mind if I send out the revisions for testing.

Fun fact, Toyota made headlight tab repair kits for the 7th gen Celica headlights, for the left/right upper/lower positions (4 different PNs).

each one included a more pliable plastic arm with two screw holes and a hole for the bolt, and 2 stainless steel philips head screws, that screwed into pre-casted barrels on all of the headlights. :D

Thanks to @in2seconds it looks like the tabs (at least the upper 2) are VERY close to fitting for the Morimoto lights.

The upper outside tab is slightly too thick on the outside (blade) edge, this can be resolved with minor fitting.
I recommend gently filing or sanding this area to thin it further to fit the Morimotos. The picture below shows them cut but I don't recommend this as it puts stress where 3D printed parts are weakest, the layers. Filing or sanding will allow a subtle thinning to enable them to fit.

For future deliveries I will include a mark on the tab to show where to file but it will still require a small bit of fitting (for the Morimotos).

-The roughness/blobbing seen in the closeup below has been improved but there may still be roughness/thickness to the "bottom" edge of the 3D print. A light touch with sandpaper can clean this up as well if folks desire.
