I’ve been wanting to buy a Tacoma forever and was hoping to pull the trigger in the next year.

But I’m apprehensive about buying a turbo, and not at all interested in a hybrid and expensive battery replacement down the road.

A little bummed about no V6 option anymore. I guess I’ll wait it out a little longer to see how this goes.

Nothing to be concerned about. Shit turbos was a thing of the 80’s. You should be good man. Specially platforms by toyota.

I think all of us are a little apprehensive about turbos and hybrid technology....But at sometime we all will be driving something along those lines. Unless your 80 and buying your last truck

    SR bros unite!

I really needed a 4x4 longbed 2.7 but for obvious reasons that doesn't exist. I'm just sweating out the payments on my current vehicle and hoping I can still get my hands on a 4x4 that fits my growing family and is halfway reliable in a few years.

One of my biggest fears waiting for interior pictures right now is that it will have the ridiculous tablet sticking out of the top of the dash infotainment screen. That's got to be one of the ugliest designs I've seen, and I hate how many cars are going to it.

looks like infotainment screen we already have. I guess it does look like its raised a bit higher than the dash. the screen does looks small tho.

What do we wager on an SR still having an analog gauge cluster?

Good, then we don't need the middleman. Let's just order what we want from the manufacturer. I can already configure a vehicle with what I want online on the manufactures website. What do I need the really need the dealer for? I already know more about the truck than the salesman. I can get better financing from my credit union if I need it. I can detail a car better than the stoner kid they pay minimum wage.... the list goes on.

But what about the free coffee, donuts, and door dings?

Me personally, I’d be okay Tesla style… go and test drive the model you’re interested in then spec and order.

That’s how I did it when the Macan came out. Great experience other than the 5-7 month wait. I’d do it for a taco.

I'm in an odd situation near me. If I wanted a Tacoma, my best best is 200+ miles away. Toyota dealers around me add $3k to a SR5 2WD.. I can't have them not install a roof rack, running boards, tint, window deflectors, shitty rubber floor mats to a 4runner. It's ridiculous folk are happily paying for that bullshit that is half ass installed and way overpriced.
