Would you leave your new Tacoma in ATL airport (or any major airport) for two weeks?
I’ll be traveling sometime in the future and not sure if this is a good idea. It will be in the “safest” (pricier) lot available. An uber will cost me twice as much. I got no friends to take me there/back and I don’t like to bother people.

Ive left my truck at the airport for a week, only damage I got was a dead battery and a jump start bill from the tow truck. I find the airport parking is pretty safe, not alot of people coming and going once they park.

Personally, no. Look into cabs, one way car rentals, shuttles.

Might be good to post in the Atlanta regional forum (maybe Georgia forum?) for ideas.

It sounds like you have a little bit of time. If it’s that big of a deal, try to make at least ONE friend before your trip, dude. Good luck and safe travels.

I park at the new west parking lot and take the rail to the terminal. It is a little easier for me than parking at the north and south lots and a little cheaper. I have left mine there numerous times for over two weeks with no problems.

I think the same can be said for the off airport lots too.

I have put an apple tag in my truck so that I can make sure from time to time it is where I left it.

I leave mine at PIT 10-14 days at a time at least once a month. I also have an Apple tag in mine so I can keep tabs on it. I look at it this way, an airport parking lot is probably one of the safer parking lots to use. Committing a crime on airport aka FAA grounds is one of the dumbest things a person can do.

I need to research it more, but I am planning on adding the remote start that is cellular based. I "think" this would alert you if it was unlocked or anything similar. Also be nice to start it up while I am standing at baggage claim in mid winter lol.

Stay the night before your flight at a hotel close to the airport. Most hotels close to airports will let you leave your vehicle in their parking lot for a very reasonable daily fee. Most also have security there. Most also have a shuttle service to and from the airport. Check to see if there are any hotels there like I described. I fly a lot and often leave my car at a hotel.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
How does the place you normally park compare?

The big thing was stealing the whole truck on a roll back. Now with all the cameras not so much . Better control of vehicles in and out

One guy in my off-road club had his Tacoma stolen in an airport parking lot in 2018. Another guy at my work had his Tacoma stolen in an airport parking lot last year. If your home parking situation is safer, then I suggest Uber.

I wouldn’t worry about vandalism as I would electrical damage. All the rabbits and critters at most airports I’ve parked at will destroy cars.

Around here, its storms. Even under covered parking, theres a weather risk.

I got in trouble at work for expensing an Uber from home when I could have either Ubered from the office (ha, no) or parked at the airport lot. Tough titty. The truck stays in my personal garage when its not in use.

I did the same here in Los Angeles, at a pricey but secure lot with cameras and guards. Like some one else mentioned above, only thing i had wrong was a dead battery.

nope. just nope. i don't care which airport it is.

if it's not near me, it's in my garage, that falls under my control.

but i've also never flown commercial my entire life...
