Sorry to hear about your pup, always tough.

Is Tucker a German shep Rot mix, or is Sheppard Rot the name of the breed?

No, the new puppy (Tucker) is what the breeders call a German Rottweiler. They have German blood lines, but after 3 gen of breeding, they end up being "American" Rotties... with "German" bloodlines.
The breeders had papers (I know just about anyone can get papers for a dog) that showed the father (stud) was a German Rottie, the mother was a mix of American/German bloodlines.. They both were on site when we looked at Tucker and both were very big and good looking dogs! (see pic of the Tuckers father, Tank.. 125lb boy).

You can tell the differance between the two mostly by looking at their nose.. the shorter nose is most likly a German Rott... longer noses are the American Rotts..

Now, I had a German Shepherd for a few years but he was just too crazy and we ended up giving him away to my dentiest who has 3 German Shepherds and a lot of farm land for them to run.. that is what mine needed! I loved him, but damn.. a man can only take a dog chewing up your sofa, dry wall, base boards, flooring, carpet, man cave recliner, etc... so much! And I caught him doing it many times, and he would still do it.. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!! No Joke! So, I said he had to go!

Here is a pic of him.. he was a good looking Shep.. but was too destructive!
    Here is TANK...

And this is Zeus and Zena.. :(

Yeah, a few guys at the fire dept have Tundra's and they are way too big! They take up 2 parking spots because if they park in the lines.. there is NO ROOM for someone to walk between the vehicles! Good looking trucks, but too big!

x2... I drove my Mom's Tundra (2010 Crew Max) a few times and it was really really nice but way to big. I drove it down to atlanta and the best MPG I could get was 15.3. It pulled the enclosed trailer like it wasn't even there. But trying to drive that thing around town was a hassle. You just learn to find parking spots away from everyone so you can get in/out. I'll stay with my Tacoma, its perfect!

Brian - sorry about Zena. I had to put down my lab mastiff mix about a year ago for kidney failure also. I know what you mean about it being to quiet in the house. Some how I talked my wife into three more dogs after Mason. Now we have 4...

I wish I could not be jealous, but I am! That pic reminds me of when the wife and I were in St. Lucia for our honeymoon.

Also: Hello to all my fellow Cincy and NKY Tacoma people! As you can tell by my info I am new to TW.

Saw that lifted black 1st gen with a snorkel again today on 270. Looks like the guy lives in the city.

Saw him a few weeks back heading west on 70.

    Badass truck.
