    not enough.
don't have a full time RTT on my truck and so I use a tailgate pad or a 1up bike rack.

I just do the tailgate pad. It's simple and effective. I pick up buddies and they just toss it in and strap it down and we are on our way.

depends on the rack. i can fit most bikes under my rack with my tent up top. saddles need to lowered, most droppers are fine. my road bike seat post gets slammed, but my gf's road bike (a small) fits without changing anything.

That KOM is out of like 7 people but the trail is pretty rad! We just cleared it a bit shes pretty spicy in a few spots.

This was a few weeks ago but same trail the first time down.

Any southeasterners planning to attend any of the remaining 2023 Go Nuts races, XC or Enduro?

    https://www.gonutsbiking.com/2023-schedule

The XC race in my backyard crept up on me and is Sunday. Not sure I’ll enter though as the weather looks rough, and I hate paying late entry fees.

I’ve been debating on the Windrock, Huntsville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Oak Mtn and Jarrods.

The farthest being windrock and Knoxville for me at 4 hours one way.

I’ve never raced, so it would be exciting.

Anyone have any experience with a Surly Ogre? Looking to find a decent cost effective all weather/season commuter/daily driver. Looked at a Kona Unit X a few years ago when when I had a different thought process going which could also be a possibility. I’m commuting on my gravel bike now, but drop bars put a lot of strain on the lower back which is pissed off currently.

im not sure if my coworker has an ogre or a krampus. its a full rigid surly with 29+ tires on it i think. they might be 2.7-3.0 tires. he used to ride a 2016ish santa cruz, but took a gnarly crash on some trails, got a concussion, broke some ribs, had an ambulance pick him up and take him to the hospital, the whole thing. hes aging too, getting close to retirement. he sold the santa cruz and picked up the surly with some jones bars. his commute is around 6-7 miles maybe and he is much more comfortable on the surly. he also says it keeps him in check when he is on the trails since its a bit rougher and get cant get up to speed as easily.

Need some input from the Upper Left USA riders in here:

Have the potential to take a job back in Everett, Washington by Paine Field and trying to piece together where I would want to live. Obviously, proximity to riding is a attractive feature. Also, an area where shantytown houses don't sell for 900 Billion Dollars would also be a plus. Any thoughts?
