I'd look for a 4runner, rip out the auto and part out the rest to pay for it lol

I wonder how many CVs I'd break if I switched to steel beadlocks. That's a lot of extra rotational mass lol.

Not a lot of wheel options that will work for me without spacers or actually getting an aftermarket UCA and aligning the truck lol

Just run spacers, I've been about that spacer life for forever.

I'm already running spacers. I just don't want to drop $1k plus on wheels that still require spacers lol

It's a lil easier to accept spacers on a set of wheels that I paid $100 for :D

No, some will have RZ bellhousings and 03-04 have electronic line pressure control so you can't use them without a valve body swap to the older style

I’ve heard some good things about the NAPA extended travel CVs.

So I'm assuming the 3rd gen 4Runner versions are the 03-04 versions or no?

Not all of them. They follow the same timeline except I think that starting around 2002 they also use the electronic control.

I've been curious about em. I have 2 OEM spares that both need a reboot or joint rebuild and I kind of don't wanna do the labor on that

torque to 80 and use red lock tite. No problems in 5 years. They've outlived CVs and rear axle shafts lol
