This is all second hand info but my GF's Sister and Brother-In-Law are actually moving from Denver to outside Seattle. I think they settled on Issaquah. I saw pictures of the house and it looks super nice, although I don't know if they decided to rent our buy since they still own a house outside Denver.

They are super outdoorsy, both do triathlons, ski, and are starting to get into mountain bike. Her brother-in-law is skiing all winter when he isn't traveling for work haha.

Yeah, I used to live in Renton Highlands which is pretty close by to there. The riding would be good in that area. The downside is that if I wanted to live in Issaquah, the commute would be like trying to drive in to DC from Fredericksburg in worse traffic. :(

That would be disgusting haha. I used to do that commute from Stafford to DC for like 3 months until I moved closer...I understand not wanting to do that haha

Don’t recall if I’ve posted my TWE picture before. We went in October. We ran out of water around mile 11, but made it through. I never hurt so bad in my life afterwards.

    not enough.

hah! yeah, bring like double or triple what you THINK you need. I always carry an extra gatorade and inevitably give it away. Also bring lots of sugary snacks. haah! mile 11, that would be rough to survive from there. good work though!

Yeah, TWE is a 2 bottle plus camelback and 2 sandwiches + 2 tubes kinda ride. That trail seems to eat riders and bikes.

Old school TWE Notch pic. The Notch has been replaced by the Snotch. The Notch was super tricky because you had to make a turn at the end, if you miss it and don't grab the shrub, you maybe falling a while. This was on an old Yeti 575. I don't do stupid crap like that anymore.

For a while there, we started doing Fruita/Grand Junction instead of Moab because there was more singletrack and bike specific trails. Now that I'm mostly out East, I miss being able to just jump in the car and make the long-ass drive from Boise to Moab/Gooseberry/Fruita.

I wouldn't mind living in B-ham but a little far from the office. Like an hour / 50+ miles without traffic. Gonna be riding out there again on Friday.

My sister lives right over by Japanese Gultch, May have to go scope that out real quick while I'm there Thursday-Sunday.

That house is weirdly nice inside for the outside appearance.
