Favorite Whiskey?

Well, after less than a week of sending the stoppers off, I already received the mounted stoppers on a BT Distillery stave. This thing is so cool! Not exactly sure where I’ll keep this but it’s in my office on my homemade shelf under the painting my mom painted for me a few years back. I love this thing! Has a varnish on the stave along with a cool BT name plate. Nicely done!

 

Friend’s neighbor pulled these out last night after we started talking bourbon. “I’ve got some old Wild Turkey stuff in the basement.”

The ceramic bottle - From what I could find, is from the mid 80’s.

 

Love it. Careful with the ceramic - some of the older ones had lead in the makeup although by mid-80s that's probably not a concern.

I would love to blind that 2002 WT101 with recent stuff.

 

For relaxing times, make it Suntori time.

 

My finds for today

 

I waited too long to return to the store, 16yr was wiped out. I was able to get a 15yr as a consolation prize.

 

Gave up booze for Lent. Been looking forward to tonight for quite some time!

Full of win! Just got done with my Chattanooga Rye, first go around. It's in my top 3 now, and ya know, the price is darned reasonable.

 

My current selection... Should be some Elijah crazy g and 1792 there but I drank all that ....

Got to Louisville yesterday late afternoon after all the craziness. Had some good luck hunting in the morning. Hit Peerless right away since it was one of the few open on Monday. Excited to do some more exploring and tours today.

 

We’ll be there tomorrow, will definitely check it out if we have time!

Maker's BEP 2023 rolled through here recently, as did Booker's 2023-1. Grabbed myself one of each.
