I have no grass to mow or snow to blow.

    Have you taken the test?

I have 4 acres and this is perfect for me. I've made huge pads for my shed, reshaped the landscape, and planted 25 trees in 3-4 hours using the back hoe. I even named my tractor "Katy Boo-Tay" because she gets all the extras! Lol. But seriously, even my wife says it's the best thing we've ever bought.

DOH! I guess I didn't read all the rules!! Saw @US Marine 's cat Gunny and @Hardscrabble 's John Deere photo and got over excited without posting my entrance test questions!!!

So here goes...let's see if I don't screw this up, as I screw up everything just ask my wife!!

    1. What condiments do you prefer for your hot dogs? Think carefully! OK, so why is it when you go through Weinerschnitzel you have to ask for a "mustard dog with ketchup"??? Why can't I just get a damn hotdog with ketchup and mustard???!!!
    2. What snack cakes Little Debbie’s, Hostess or Drake?! Hostess...twinkies...so I have an excuse, 'er, a syndrome.
    3. What is your preferred hardware for removing the younglings from the lawn? Stihl FS-131-R. Good enough for the US Forest Service, good enough for me! Only tool I own that I can 100% honestly say...it's overkill!! However, when I put the metal ninja blade on there and shove it into those damn weeds with the 1" stalk (no kidding, they're ridiculous!) it doesn't even slow down!! US Made, and kicks butt!!!
    4. Dog or Cat? This is not a question about what is on the dinner menu! Converted cat person! Had dogs growing up, but my wife is a crazy cat lady. We had six, but down to four now...if I can keep her from getting more that is...
    5. Goat Porn? I saw that show!! That's the one where Mike bites the balls of them, literally, with his own teeth!! Uhh...no thanks!
    6. Coffee or Tea? Those are your only choices! Funny you ask! Been a coffee guy, but I got sent to London for work a number of years ago...I work in IT and we don't usually stop until things are working again because everyone in the company calls every 5 seconds and asks "when will the system be back up??", but I digress, so working in London and we get to afternoon "tea time". Great, so what!? Welllll, the whole damn place shuts down for tea time. The first couple days, I just keep working and wonder about these people. Except every day...tea time and the place shuts down. So after a couple days I figure why not!!?? Well let me tell you! Afternoon tea time ROCKS!!! I'm hooked and so now I have my afternoon tea time here at work...well, except no one stops 'cause we're IT...
    7. Bacon Yes!!! ...and save the grease!!!
    8. Toilet paper rolls, over or under? Over, or risk the wrath of the spouse! Don't ask me how I know...and if you have to ask...you're not 50+!!!!
    9. Daylight Savings good or bad? LEAVE THE DAMN CLOCK ON SUMMERTIME!!!!!!! "Fall back", indeed...
    10. How do you like your steak cooked? Med well. And I have nothing insightful to say about this...hmm...well, my mom always said, "It's not burned! It's scorched!" So I guess I just grew up on things being well done!
    11. °C, °K or °F ? Huh? KFC!! Hell yah!! Who doesn't like fried chicken!!?? Are you un-American!!??
    12. Miracle whip or mayo? Miracle whip. It's a miracle I didn't get whipped as a kid! Fortunately for me, my parents used psychological warfare to keep me in line!! Do something bad? Sit in the chair...and there was one particular chair at the kitchen counter...and think about what you did. Then when you're ready, come and explain why it was wrong and only then are you free to go. Stubborn?? Sit all day in that chair, didn't matter. Sarcastic, or expressly shallow answer...sit in that chair until you're ready. I pretty quickly learned how to get out of that chair sooner than later, and avoid it altogether, as well as morals, family values, and how to treat other people respectfully.
I'm currently 55, and Verizon even offered me a discount on my birthday for being in the next tier of old!!! Grrrrreat!!! Besides 'wheelin my Tacoma, and taking my blood pressure, my wife and I like to travel and scuba dive. So there you have it! -Rob

My oldest son and DIL bought their dream place in Oct. @10 acres. great hunting but i told him you need to figure a tractor in your budget. he got a small one with 60” deck and front bucket. he loves it. but reminded him his ag tires will be rough on the yard. he thinks if he needs turf tires he may get a set to switch out when needed

So latest on the paving scam. a WVA lawyer contacted kids law firm. said he had a signed contract for the price of $9,000. well that didnt happen as both were out of town. got a legit guy there right now estimating what they did. said they probably bought the asphalt from his company. its $90 a ton. it already has weeds growing thru it in 2 weeks. so son’s MIL is going to have a heyday if it goes to court. if they produce a signed contract then forgery is also coming into play besides fraud. ill take vacation to see this one. LOL he actually LHAO when he saw the patch. this is getting fun now.

    but welcome anyway.

Tell him to look into R14 tires for their tractor. Turf tires are good for golf courses, but lousy when the yard turns to mud. The R14 tires are kinda new on the market, it's like an R4 Industrial tire with more cleats for better traction. When my R4 tires wear out that's what I'm going to get.

So this bothers me. Why? Because I am insane, I guess.

At a customer location, there is this calendar. And the rabbits look like this:
    20230411_151259.jpg
But the more I look at it, the more it bothers me.
There is another rabbit on the same page that looks like this:
    20230411_155623.jpg

So to me I think the artwork should be changed to this:
    20230411_151259.jpg

    So...yeah that's a peek into my brain.

And now you can see why retirement is a good idea

:hattip:Morning y’all, tis hump day. Weather man says 80* , outside chores. HVAC contractor is coming by to pressure test the AC unit. I had a new system installed last year, got 22 years out of the old one. No burning ban on, high winds/dry conditions, that didn’t take long.
