Haven't lived with mom in 30 years, lived alone at this house for 14 years this month. You think if my mom lived here she'd let me remove the house number and put truck parts in a mailbox? Still get mail from people that used to live here 20 years ago for some reason. Also why you looking at my mail ya nut?!

This last bit made me chuckle... I am off by like 8mph at 75, and trying to keep pace on that Moab trip had me reeling. I quit looking after it averaged 9mpg...

Or..... If your stock size is 31, then a 32 is about 3% off. 33 is 6% off. Yada yada yada. (Speedo will read lower than your actual speed).

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Had a late Easter lunch with my ex-MIL yesterday. She mentioned that she wants to pull up some shrubs along the front of her house. She's been talking with a neighbor and her nephew (ex's cousin) about doing it. I offered to help, said that my winch may be a big help. I'm pretty sure neither of the others have a winch. I told her to let me know when the others want to do it.

Remember the fat part goes toward the front and your going to have to use a tape to align the axle front to back & side to side.

It's never a linear thing, it's always by percentages.

And those radar trailers have to be calibrated too. Lol

I used my winch to pull unwanted shrubbery. Had to strap the 4R to tree. Damn shrubs wouldn't give-up-the ghost and ALF was being dragged across the yard. I had to axe some of the runner roots. Was a bigger job than anticipated.

That's why I suggested the winch before her neighbor got on her lawn with his big Ram and started tearing the shit out of her lawn. I could keep my truck on the driveway and chain to his truck if need be. And bring the chainsaw/axe to do some rooting.

Correct. I always cringe when someone says their speedo is off by X-mph.

Also, most speedometers read high, so usually a size or 2 up will be accurate. The 4Runner is dead on with 285/70/17's. Which, IMO, means that they are the appropriate size. :D

Winches are excellent for pulling shrubs! You probably already thought of this, but I carry a cheaper tow strap for dirty jobs like that.

Smart! This is exactly what I did in my buddy's front yard.
