Best spark plugs for my 2012 tacoma

    I replaced original
    $60 Denso SK20HR11 ---- IRIDIUM PLATINUM power pack Spark Plugs -- # 3421 ----- 6 PCS NEW
    Denso SK20HR11's at 100k with same....or so I thought. The factory ones still looked good. Fast forward another 100k, the replacements were horrible looking. Positive electrodes were nearly gone, and negative ones were severely cracked & brittle. Further investigation revealed they were fakes. The Denso website has a page showing how to spot them.

    Went same type again, but pretty certain I got the real McCoy this time. Will monitor condition with oil changes.

    Thanks to all. I just bought the NGK Plugs. They were much cheaper than the originals. What's the Gap?

    Just follow your owners manual within reason. No need to overthink it…

    What Blockhead said. ^^^^

    I change mine every 30K per the owner's manual. That said, I'm sure they would be good for 50K but that would be my personal maximum. No way would I even consider 100K although it has been done.
