Loved these and Vans. I won't buy Chucks anymore though. Last pair I had a few years ago, the front of the sole started coming apart in 3 weeks. Mind you I have a desk job, not like I was too tough on them. Called them and they didn't seem too interested in doing anything even though I sent the guy a picture showing I had zero scuffs or wear in that time.

I remember these were hugely popular when I was a kid. Parents couldn't afford them so I couldn't be like the cool kids.

    Nope. Nothing.

At first I know they have no idea what I'm doing every day..could be landscaping and in that case I would agree that's my tough shit.

Sent them pictures of the shoes (not just the peeling) to show the overall condition and all I got was well maybe try some of the glue you can get at Walmart. Not even a prorated offer. Told them if they think that's normal then I don't think they make a good product anymore and I'm not rolling the dice for $50 again.

I did end up gluing them though it came out like shit and I wouldn't want to risk tripping myself over the front of the broken one. Kept those for doing yardwork and it's Vans or nothing now.

This too but I more care that they shouldn't fall apart in 3 weeks just walking around the office.

I used to use a product called shoegoo way back when. It worked great for repairing floppy soles. Not sure if it’s still around. Damn shame converse didn’t step up. Nobody cares about quality control anymore I guess.

Same stuff I used..it was just so much of the sole had peeled I couldn't get it exact. Nor should I have to at 3 weeks, but that's clear.

Who remembers this guy? . . . from the days when it was considered to be disrespectful to make clothing out of the national flag.

It was right in the Cub Scouts manual. One did not do these things.
