Issue Key Fob will not work after the truck sits over night. Unable to lock or unlock my 2017 Tacoma in the morning. After manually unlocking and driving the key fob works again. Already changed the battery to the key fob. Both keys (Master and spare) are unresponsive in the morning. Was wondering does it have anything to do with the truck battery or alternator.

    Yeah.
If the truck starts, it's likely not the battery or alternator, but I've been surprised before. Seems like it is losing its pairing. What year truck is it? We have a Corolla that we don't drive much and I let the battery get too low for too long. Now the fob doesn't lock or unlock the doors, but the car starts. (after charging the battery). Apparently I need a locksmith to re-pair the fob -- older models had a procedure you could run through to pair the key, but newer models require a locksmith and proper tools.

2017 Tacoma . I figured it was the battery on the fob but it’s not. U say it could be the pairing?

My Fobs will act flakey at times too. Try taking steel wool to the metal contacts where the coin battery sits in the Fob. Even with new batteries, they may not be making a good contact. Worth a try since both Fobs are about 6 years old.
