Not sure what to tell you. At 6'-1" I do occasionally scuff my knee on the lower dash panel getting in. Once inside it fits fine. My kid climbed into the truck with the seat in my normal position and complained for 5 minutes about hitting his knee on the lower dash. Trade offs will be made.

I'm 5'11" had no issues with even my gen 1 and that was slightly smaller than the gen 3. Not sure what to say..... How ever I take that back I hit the dash 1 time when I tried to get in after my wife drove it. She's 4'8" after 70 years was once 4'10" I would guess it's the seat placement.

My guess is, as long as you are smaller than a sumo wrestler....it should be good :hattip:

With all due respect to those who quote height/weight/musculature and "should be OK" ...

If the truck does not work for you, save your money and buy something that was will not be as challenging to your comfort. This is always true when you are buying a vehicle.

You know your life better than any of us can. And for everyone here (including me) who reports "I made it work", at least one other who is not posting gave up.

So in summary, and with no judgement ... "you do you".

After driving a 1st gen for 17 years the third gen feels like a full size lol. I’m 5-10 190, no issues getting in and out of the 3rd gen, read people complain the front seats are too close the the floor, again, try a 1st gen where the seats are only about 8” off the floor.

I had a 2018 Silverado before I got the 3rd gen I now have (3rd gen has sunroof, definitely affects headroom), I always felt that truck was really comfortable but hated parking and getting around on tight city streets, not to mention it’s a GM product

    Everything’s a trade off

I'm about 5'10'' and somewhere around 175lbs and I found the Tacoma to be a pretty comfortable fit. I had the manual and the clutch was in a comfortable position, as was the steering wheel after adjusting it. I really miss that truck sometimes.

I have had a 1999 Tacoma for 23 years and bought a 21, I have a lot of practice... HAHA

I have learned to slow down when getting into the truck so I don't whack my knee, shin or head.

6'3" and 225lbs. No issues getting in/out/driving. Hasn't helped with the ladies though. Probably need larger tires and lift.

6'1" @ 200lbs. I fit just fine with plenty of extra room in my SR AC. Not sure how you're having trouble getting in, something isn't right. Either the seat is too far forward, the steering wheel is at a weird angle/position because there is a ton of room in that "small" truck.
