Tesla buyers seem content with MSRP.

never said Tesla buyers were the brightest bulbs in the socket. guessing current buyers are pissed at the 2nd price cut this year.

we need to stop feeding inflation and record dealer profits. we can only do this, if we all fight back on prices. don't pay for bullshit add ons. don't pay sticker. hold out. unless your truck was driven in to a ditch, there is no need to let the dealer win.

My point is half the buyers want to pay MSRP if everyone else pays MSRP. Then there’s people with at least half a brain who will travel 800 miles to save $3,000 since their local dealers suck. You’re not going to get people to stop paying market price if that’s what it commands.

If you want to save $1400 on that warranty. I just did as well. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/toyota-extended-warranty-plan-purchase.791269/page-6

Toyota at sticker is still way less than the domestics. If you want to fight inflation, stop buying anything not absolutely required to live.

I had previously contacted the dealership with a online request for availability on a totally different truck and a salesman called me to see when I could come in. I ended up almost buying a used Pro, so I texted him saying no longer interested. A few days later he texted me one morning saying they had a allocation for a OR with the manual tranny and if I was interested. I had him send the details of the truck with the added options ( Vspec). He called me later that day to get my info to figure tax rate, etc. I then got the purchase order texted to me with the numbers. The salesman called me to get my CC info to put down the $500 deposit. I did not have to deal with going into the dealership to deal with any BS.

The really screwed up part is when you sell it used, they tax the next person 8%, and the next and next in perpetuity for the life of the car. I don't know how that's legal.

KS got CA beat. 9% new or used, each time, at every sale. Plus yearly personal property tax on each vehicle.

I signed a price/purchase agreement at the same time I put a deposit down.

If you want to help me find a Stick OR in the PNW for under MSRP I'm all for it. There are 3 currently for sale within 300 miles of me and msrp the best I've been able to secure. Several trucks are being sold with 3k markups even. Any trucks Ive found outside of the PNW on dealer lots has been, at best $1,000 off, and they wouldnt sell to out of state customers. Not that I'd take that deal anyway because I'd lose $1,000 in travel + lost wages to pick it up.

Just did a search, only 43 show up nationally that are manual transmission. There were 250 when I got mine, wonder if it’s demand or supply or something else.
