Yes, better to default on a loan earlier than later. Though I don't think you can default on Student Loans, as those seem to somehow stick aorund for ever. However, for a CC, home loan, or car loan, if we default then everything resets after 7 years. Better to start at ZERO at say 28 years old as apposed to 40 years old.

Also, Student Loans are a scam. They are easy to get for a reason! A CC is NOT so easy to get. All kids and adults too, got duped into taking Student Loans for a University Education. The truth is the cost of a University Education does NOT really pay off these days. Heck, even an Engineering Major will go into debt for a decade to pay off his student loan. If that student become an MD Doctor, he will take about 3 decades to pay off that debt! hahaha.

I am lucky all my University Expenses were paid by the US Army, and also I went to college when they were cheap. I feel bad for all the kids!

Or…call me crazy…you can learn to pay your shit…
You were smart enough to take it out, you can pay it off.

They aren’t a scam, a degree in basket weaving witha minor in gender study’s is just a useless degree. Kids are dumb…like I said…

I also got my degree with the GI bill.

Its gonna suck for at least 2 years and after that with the new EPA regs, they will take the gas engines out and put electric motors in. Happy

You are in a thread about a truck that doesn't really exist quite yet...it happens. The 3rd Gen forum can stay on task better.

    BLAME -
Well we ourselves are ALWAYS at least 50% to blame for every single one of our problems. However, when the System is RIGGED to entice people to fail, that there is the root of the problem. Remember, Banks WIN when people do NOT pay back their debt.

    SCAM -
If you look at the big picture in 2023, you will find out that a University Degree is a SCAM. Engineering is a good degree, as we know we will pay off our student debt. However, even only 10 years ago a University Degree from a Public School like UC San Diego was $35k a year for all expenses (for instate students). Say if you got scholarships to pay for half of that. That means you are still on the hook for about $80k or so, and Student Loans are DEFERRED and Compounding at a high Interest of say like 8% or so, and because you have those Student Loans, you can't take out a lower interest loan to pay that off.

    MY DEGREE -
I will admit, my EE got my foot in the door, but what I did at University has really ZERO to do with my work. It was basically 5 wasted years. However, like I said, maybe it was NOT that wasted because it did get me in the door. I am lucky got Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering all paid for, but I did pay for my Masters (in IT) by myself. I did NOT need the Masters at all, but back then I was an idiot and thought I did. Most EE Grads like myself, don't even do hardware when we graduate, we go straight into Software, "Systems", or Sales.

If no one responds to my posts, then I will be more than Happy to talk about Gen4 Tacomas, and like I said, I am ALL IN for a Gen4 Tacoma! Especially for a 4x4 Hybrid Version in TRD Offroad Trim. Despite all the bad press I have been reading over the past 2 months about 2021-2023'S Tundras and Tacomas, I am still ALL IN on the Gen4 Tacoma.

Guess it depends on your view of rich. I live in the PNW, make well under 300k as a household, and we live pretty comfortably.

Not really. We were discussing how expensive Gen4s are going to be, and about how we are going to Finance them, etc, etc.

Like I said though, If no one responds to my posts, then I will be more than Happy to talk about Gen4 Tacomas, and like I said, I am ALL IN for a Gen4 Tacoma! You must've blacked out for a bit on the last page. 100% was well beyond financing truck talk.

I never responded to you. Or quoted you. Or have seen you here before today.

You came to me, I answered. I'm not moderating crap. I am simply saying the conversation devolved pretty far from truck talk.

Feel free to keep doing what you want, I'm not your dad.
    I don't think so anyways.

About time we get the biggest reveal from TW. The 3rd Gen forum has finally graduated from "Most likely to land in the Dumbgeon" to become the "Cool Kids that can still have a V6".
