Absolutely zero trimming or rubbing at all in full lock. Big bumps etc. Tires are for sale! Have receipt. Just installed on 3-25-23. Wanna go 285’s. 200 miles on them as of 3-26-23 located in Torrance, CA

I’ve put about 15,000 miles on mine so far with city, highway, and some light off-roading. Still couldn’t be happier, I can’t think of any reason to change size for the rest of my time with the truck.

I've really been considering 275/70/17's but have seen a lot of hate toward them in other tire threads. I've never understood what people have against them. Anyone running Falken AT3's?

There are several running the Falkens in this thread, just read through.
Note the Falkens are not the lightest weight tire in this size, due to being designed specifically for the jeep.

I just got mine on last month. They look great and I saw an immediate improvement in the snow, especially in 2wd.
They are heavier and I can feel it when I accelerate from a stopped position.
I haven’t experienced rubbing at all under normal driving conditions. I do have 5100s and 887 coils though. I did hear a slight rub when I was driving aggressively to test out if I would rub.
    I love them though.

Cleaned her up this week, pretty satisfied with the 275s even though they look less aggressive than the 285 STT Pros. MPGs are slightly up and noise levels are down though, so mission accomplished.

Just got home from Discount Tire where I got Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 275/70/70 on my Method 312 Double Black rims. Only thing else done to the truck is a TRD lift kit for now. Was tempted to go 285 to get C load Ridge Grapplers but between limited height in my garage and the risk of having to do a CMC I did the 275s

How much has the acceleration changed with those tires? Is your ECU tuned?

Definitely more sluggish overall and a longer lag to get going compared to stock. After a couple of weeks I got the OTT tune and it was a game changer. Acceleration was back (if not better), shift points were corrected, lag was almost completely gone and got about +1 mpgs back. Highly recommend the OTT tune

Came out awesome, plenty of clearance weight was only 3lbs more per tire than 265/70s but quite a bit lighter than 285s. These were running close to 32.5 mounted. Fox 2.5 DSCs Rxt leaf pack option 1

whats the offset on your wheels?

no rub? I know 285’s uca clearance is an issue keeping stock wheels. How does this compare?

On those wheels they were -6 offset and 275's. I have different wheels at -25 offset, 285's and a CMC with wescott front and stage 1 deavers leafs. It only rubbed on front plastic and never the uca.

Aloha all - so finally ready to change out stock tires/wheels with 25k miles on my metallic 2019 Mahalo's posters, this thread been helpful. Wildpeaks 275 70r17 seem to be a wise choice. DEFINITELY installing BILSTEIN LEVELING Kit. This my second OR, and over the stock wheels. SCS F5 MATTE BLACK gets the nod. Hope to posting some pics soon. 5100’s w/AAL, Dobinson's 314 coils. 285/70-17 BFG KO2's, 17X8 Pro-Comp 89's 0 offset, BA Highline Front Bumper, K&N FIPK CAI. N-Fab Podium steps, Gatorz Low Profile Hard tri fold Bed Cover.
Couldn’t justify in my head to put a 63lb tire on. So I stepped up to 285 KO’s @ 51lbs LR-C. I had a good alignement, No CMC needed, only trimmed the front plastic.

Falken lists the 275 70r17 @ 57lbs - but the tire weight is not a concern for me. BUT the question is - with no lift, how are you not hitting the well while off road... doesn't seem to have much travel clearance from what I can tell.

Had BFGs KO2s always on my Taco. Going on 5th year, 38,520 miles on same tires. Still half thread left. best tire you can possibly get for a Tacoma.

Late to the party - But I am going with 275 70/17 on my 2019. Bilstein 5100 leveling - don't expect any rubbing when off road. the width is under 3/4 of inch from 265's. Toyo Open R/T is my choice with Kansei matte black wheels
