I got passed by a V8 Dakota last night.

Dodge may screw up 110% of the things they make, but putting a V8 in a mid size was a good idea

I had a 2000 Dakota with that Daimler overhead cam V-8... truck got 22 mph all day towing or not. Pile of pooh for fit and finish but ran like a champion. Did great burnouts!

I loved my V8 4Runner! Mileage wasn't awful. I usually got around 16-17 combined. But, it was bone stock.

My '98 Dakota wouldn't get 13mpg if you dropped it out of a C130!

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
Maybe a dumb question, but should the dome light turn on and off independently of the map lights? Current situation: map lights switch (off/door/on) in off position. Dome light switch in door position. Tested each door open, no dome light. Dome light in on position, still no light. As soon as I move the map light switch to door position, dome light works with door opening and in on position. Asked in a few recent threads but no one has answered.

That definitely seemed weird. Like, why have the door option on the dome light if it's not going to come on independently of the map lights?

Maybe we can all test this out this weekend and see If everyone else's is the same as well.

Lol! I expect to hear a lot of those as well, and I look forward to it!

I have been kicking myself a bit for not trying to make it work, but it ended up that this year wouldn't have worked very well since I took off all of January anyway. I really need to slow down and stop trying to live like a rockstar so I can afford to go next time.

With camping almost the whole time the cost of a trip like that is relatively low. I didn't total up everything but it's less then $1500 for the 10 days. Biggest expense is fuel unless you end up being like @pearing and breaking stuff.

One of the big challenges was, when the date was moved from September to March. No time to waste. I was ordering stuff before my vacation change was approved.
But, it was worth every minute and every dollar spent:thumbsup:

That just seems really...not the way it should work. o_O Oh well. Probably gonna do a little googling to see if there's a way to rework it for dome only.

I think I broke stuff earlier... like pipeline... and it just made itself known in Moab. My story, and I'm sticking with it. My trip was NOT as economical as some... But I agree, I was originally expecting about the $1500 mark for the trip.

    Hey all,

I had three confirmed orders for tire tables: @Pixeltim, @rubbersidedown and @WiscoPat had two other maybes with @Taco-Grinder and either @Super4lo or @Stoney Ranger I have 7 tables total, and I am bringing them to Wyalusing. I don't want to bring any back... so if you want to be one on of the cool kids time to jump. I think I told the original group $40 or so. But as with all things made by kids you can always donate to the cause... They won't break, and they work well, if not as well as an accomplished fabricator might have achieved. Juniors and Sophomores worked on these. Student designed, student modified and student built. Better than the original that I took to Moab, for anyone on the fence that saw that one in use.
