I keep looking on CarGurus and there are Z71’s showing up on lots with actually photos not stock photos. Still waiting for an AT4 to pop up.

Who is buying all these Tacomas? I can't recall the last time I saw a new Tacoma on the road. I'm sure I would notice if a fresh off the lot Tacoma rolled past me. I did see one last month now that I think about it, but that was it.

Are they all on the west coast? I would like to see a break down of sales by region.

Why? If a vehicle is 40 grand and a person with the money invested gets a loan at 2.9% - it sounds like it would make more fiscal sense to take the 2.9% loan than to pay for the vehicle in cash. Obviously the 2.9% could go *way up* depending on how the market does during that time.

"The 680"? Not from the Bay area, are you... I just hope you cheer for the Giants...
26 years in the Bay area taught me a few things...

Here in New Hampshire I can't hardly drive three miles to the grocery store without seeing a handful of brand spankin' new Tacomas.

Regarding a $500 per month payment being insane, they I guess I'm way around the bend because mine is about $850 (48-months at 2.49%); there was a time when a $150 per month payment hurt a whole lot worse.

I think I have seen more new Rivians than Tacomas in the last six months. I'm sure there are new Tacomas out there I just don't see them. I see a lot of new Wranglers and Broncos, probably more new or at least 3G Tundras than Tacomas. When I say I'm talking a month old, or right off the lot.

Must be a regional thing. I live in a small townhome complex of about 20 units; we have three Tacomas, one Tundra, one Bronco, and one Wrangler. That said, we're most likely moving from New Hamster to Maryland later this year; when we were house hunting down there a few weeks ago I don't believe I saw a single Tacoma.

Where do you live? Down here in South Carolina I see new ones daily. Temp tags even.

I see a lot of new Tacomas...but the new vehicle I see the most is a Subaru Crosstrek.

Last month I watched this lot fill up in a matter of days. They sat there for a week or so. And then they were almost all gone. It’s in Port Newark (NJ) right off 78.

I live in Maryland and see a ton of newer Tacomas. I have 3 - 2021 TRD Off Roads within 1 block of my house(including mine). Maybe it's because I'm looking for them, and my kids routinely point them out.

I could run out into the street with my eyes closed and get ran over by a 3rd gen. I'm talking 2023 model year, and more specifically one of the 53,000 or so sold in March. Monthly sales are the threshold here.

    Edit

March 23 was 18,674 Tacomas sold.
    https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2023-us-pickup-truck-sales-figures-by-model/#monthlysales

    53k + was for q1

I see a lot of new Tacomas in my area. I live near Pembroke, Ontario near the biggest and popular Toyota dealer in the area. Canadian Forces Base is nearby in Petawawa. just saying

It’s funny I live in the Midwest (Bible Country) and a lot of people have the mantra of American goods only. Lots of domestic half tons, Wal-Marts, and Dollar General. Yet when I drive to work I drive past 4 Tacomas in a town of 900. I work across from a small Indian Technical College with 3 more Tacomas. Of course there are a bunch of 2000 era diesel trucks with 5” exhaust too driven by Joe Dirt. But surprisingly a lot of “non domestic” trucks despite the region.

Not trying to start a debate just something I notice in the area.
