    Here’s fitting the rear ebrake, tubbing the front and cleanup after hammers though.

    @tacotunner06 / Chris,

    I looked thru your pictures and couldn’t really see what I was looking for. So may I ask, how far is the backside of the heads / valve covers from the firewall? Also if it’s really close is there an issue reaching the bolts on the transmission to pull the engine, changing the starter or doing maintenance? Sorry but the gentleman I have doing mine is reluctant to move the engine any closer than about 2.5” from the firewall. Thanks in advance, Randy

    i can get you an exact measurement in the morning but its pretty close. i have my engine pretty low as well. but once you take the intake off getting the trans bolts out are pretty easy. plus the starter is underneath on the right side so thats a non issue.

    Chris,
    Thanks! Yeah he has it approx or should I say the heads/valve covers off the firewall about 2.5”. He told me that @munkeywrench was off about 4 inches. And I told him that it was there because he didn’t want to modify the OE transmission cross member and just drilled a hole to mount the Chevy transmission.

    yeah problem with being that far forward is your really pushing it for space to fit a radiator and fans as it is.

    I can measure the distance of where my engine sits if you’d like. I pushed the engine as far back as I could and massaged the firewall to gain an extra bit more room.

    I have the OEM clutch fan on the engine and I’m currently using the Tacoma radiator/ condenser in the factory location.

    From the radiator to fan is approximately 30mm of space.

    The drivers side valve cover is about 1.5” off the firewall and the pass side is about 5/8-3/4”. I would say the cylinder heads are similar but it’s hard to tell on the pass side since my wiring harness is tucked back in there. I can say there’s just enough room that the harness doesn’t rub.
