I didn't make the cabinets. They were made by a cabinet shop. And I think that particular cabinet was made on friday

Wife and I just bought our dream house that needs some TLC. One of the things it needs is new runners/guides on the master bathroom sliding shower doors. They're plastic and rotting apart. I found a bottom guide from the home depot but I can't seem too fund the long plastic strip that runs along the bottom of the door. A friend mentioned I should cut the plastic off lower the doors, then lower the the slide adjusters on the uppers. Anyone got insight into this?

I get replacement sweeps from Amazon. I have to trim them length wise to fit and they slide on the bottom of the glass door. That kind appears to fit in a channel. I'm willing to bet Amazon has in channel sweeps too.

I use this one from a seller called showerdoordirect on Amazon. Maybe they have other styles on their website? HD and Lowes don't sell the kind I need, but maybe they do for yours?

I ordered a mini split about two weeks ago. The head box came package 1 of 2. The heat pump started its voyage with UPS and made it to the distribution center before getting returned to origin. I need box 2/2 for this to be a complete project. This is frustrating.

Not bad. I did an 18 ft+ once. Had to rent a ladder. OK and my legs were shaking. I don't do heights real well.

Current house has near the same set up. Gonna hire a dude.

The peak of my vaulted ceiling is about 13 feet. That wouldn't be a big deal except that's where the smoke/CO detector is and it's 4 feet away from the wall so I can just BARELY reach it from my extension ladder to replace the battery.

Been a few weeks since I wrapped up my work installing the floor and cabinets. The granite (leatherlike texture) countertops were recently installed. It all came together really nice. Only outstanding item is the range hood. That's on backorder.

Starting on replacing the deck railing components next week. Customer went with cedar vs PT per my recommendation.

Not sure how to explain it. My neighbors are the only other people I know who have it. It's a dull mild textured surface. Not rough but definitely not smooth. Kinda feels like leather when you rub your hand on it. You can kinda see it on the island.

    What is Leathered Granite?
Now that you know more about granite in general, you may be wondering: What exactly is leathered granite? Leathered granite is a finish option for your countertops that will leave the surface with a slightly matte appearance and highlight the natural contours and coloring of the stone. It is among a few options that you will have for countertop finishes, the others being honed and polished.
