The Tyger tonneau cover works and I can roll it all the way up. It requires a little manipulation around the mounting bolts for the tent, but it isn't a major inconvenience. There is a gap between the bed rail and the side rails of the cover. I didn't anticipate the thickness of the Billie Bar brackets and when I tightened the clamps for the tonneau cover, it made the side rails arch upward in the middle. I need to add another clamp, add another piece of foam, or notch out the existing foam seal. It sits about 3/16" above the bed rail right now so it isn't a deal breaker, but it isn't ideal. This is a temporary set up anyway until I can get my overland style trailer completed. Tent will not stay on permanently and the rack won't either.

Thanks! Just sent an email over to you all, hopefully the trade in value is worth my while, I still need to order the awning mounts so I gotta have some $$ left over! And thanks for the compliments on the Taco, I love the way it looks too!

Also, to make it clear, these bars are an incredible product, I just should have ordered a different height!

Leaning towards getting Billiebars and two of their high pro kayak mounts to be able to haul my wife’s and my kayaks while still being able to use the tonneau cover. Both kayaks are pescador sit on tops with hers being a 10’ and mine a 12’.

Any one have pictures of the high pro mount on their Tacoma?

No pics, but I highly recommend the taller mounts is you want to use the Tonneau Cover still.

Just installed the mid rise 17” Billie Bars. Install was easy. They are super beefy. Waiting for RTT to arrive.

Went with 5” BillieBars and two HighPro kayak mounts. Used the new rack to take our kayaks down to the north fork of the white river this weekend. That’s a 12’ and a 10.5’ on top.IMG_5574.jpgIMG_5578.jpgIMG_5596.jpg

Looking at getting the Billie Bars. 2 questions. First, does factory hard tonneau cover fold up under the 8" bars (with the bar reinstalled)? Second, can I fold the factory hard tonneau cover by removing the bars, or does the cover still hit the bracket pockets? Thanks.

    To answer your questions:

    1. No, there is no flip style cover that will fit under the 8" or 5" bars. I was able to roll my Tyger Tonneau Cover under the 8" brackets only, the 5" are extremely low profile.
    2. You should be good to fold the Tonneau when you remove the cross bars. I would do this when I took the tent off so that I could fit tall items in the bed.

Side Note: We had to sell the RTT and I have a set of Billie Bars with both the 5" and 8" brackets for sale for a 3rd gen.......

This was a previous setup, Diamondback cover, the tall Billiebars with a pair of their molle plates. I was able to open both DB panels a few inches to grab small items.

Just keep throwin' money at it.
Can someone with a set of Billie Bars do me a favor and measure how long they are over all (I know the width is 3.15")? I'm trying to do some math with a tent but wanted a measurement before I purchase some.
