With a more consistent color, leathered looks nice. With my barre granite, the effect would probably be lost.

    Not only that.

Videos or pictures of the install are demanded.

    Done.

Mitered handrail went in yesterday and I applied the finish:
    9370C670-2954-408A-B359-855CEE147139.jpg

Last night I caulked all the seams and painted the risers one last time.

Today I actually finished it. Feels weird to say after I started ripping down the slat wall last November. Let me remind you where this thing came from. No shots of the hallway, but I found one of the stairs:

    Annnd now:

And it’s code compliant on all aspects. The big one being the 6” sphere test against the riser and bottom baluster when using horizontal balusters:
    9BCCA358-9D73-4AAC-A26D-4B21E5FB72AE.jpg

In total I spent over 150 hours on this project between the stairs and the hallway. Man what a journey. Waiting on my partner to finish painting the baseboards, casing, and closet doors otherwise that’s basically the only thing I need to circle back for.

Back to working on the shop :bananadance:

I've got it in my kitchen. It's kind of hard to photograph, because when it's clean and polished it appears smooth.

i don't remember anymore if it was in the tool, milwaukee, welding, or home thread, but i copied someone's idea here for electric blower storage. they had welded an appropriate-sized pipe, i couldn't find metal pipe that size, so i made do with some pvc. works just the same, and keeps it out of the way much better!

Mine has been perfect and for the price and the quiet and power, a true bargain.

Follow their warnings, well except I use metal gas cans (with stabilizer) and if sitting on a pad, feeding via a 4 wire to a grounded panel, you don't need to ground the generator.
