This isn't an issue for everyone. Test drive the truck you plan on buying and note the ride characteristics. Next, determine how much towing and/or hauling you'll be doing with the truck. Realize that the new four leaf pack will make the ride stiffer and that the dealer will not switch it back for free.

Personally, I do a fair amount(twice a month) of pulling a loaded utility trailer full of construction debris, etc. The 4 leaf pack was an improvement but not as great of an improvement as the three leaf pack that was on the truck. I am still looking at airbags or the very least Timbrens.

Will the dealership only fix a TSB if it the truck is still covered on manufacturer's warranty?

Same here. I felt like I noticed a difference from the get go. Yesterday on washboard sections and slow rocky sections all that vague and rattle feeling in the steering wheel was gone.

Just tried to get the blower motor replaced. Since the dealer couldn't verify the problem they said they wouldnt' change it. It comes and goes. I have had it in there twice for the same problem and they still won't change it. Im about to throw it thru their front window. When it squeals its horrible. Secondly when Im off road or on a pothole filled road the steering wheel feels funny is that also the tsb you guys are talking about?

Has anyone tried to ask the dealer to look up their vin and check which TSB's they are eligible for? I was wondering about doing this...

TSB's not a matter of eligibility, but rather a tecnical note for troubleshooting when certain problems occur frequently.

I would not think it a good idea to go to the dealer and ask that question. If you are having an issue that they can't otherwise solve, then look into the TSB's for a possible solution. Make sense? :D

I'm having a hard time getting the dealership to fix my steering rattle. The tech took if for a drive and couldn't get it to happen. It's really bad on the forestry roads with hard pack/pot holes and washboard. I've printed the steering rattle TSB off and going to hand it to them when it goes in next week to get a blower motor put in it. I'll let folks know how it goes. Cheers, and thanks for this thread.

That's because technically a TSBs aren't meant for the consumer. What issues are you having?
