Carnuba wax, spray on detailer, anything to put a little bit of a protective coating. Nothing lasts forever.

A strap mounted tank bag is still going to have at least some points of contact with your paint. The straps themselves will be touching it and you'll have some friction between them and the painted surface so you're going to eventually see some wear and tear at those points. You can also look into a tankbag that mounts to a ring that mounts on the fuel cap ring depending upon the bike. I used one of those myself for a while.

The best thread on this forum in my opinion. Lots of knowledge here and a stand-up group of people.

Trucks are great but motorcycles are much more fun

I only own a truck for when the roads suck too much for the bike, like snow or some such crap.

This is my favorite thread on here. Great group of peeps and had the pleasure to meet a few of you miscreants already.

hm that could get kinda heavy...

Yup. forecast said just cloudy today...sprinkled on me. luckily not enough to be a problem.

Are you pumped for Sunday?! the back protector I ordered on Revzilla says it won't arrive until next week....I'm gonna hit a cycle gear on the way home tonight and pick one up.

Any chance you have an extra suit strap? to hold up the top half of the suit when i take it off. No biggie if not, I was gonna check if CycleGear has one as well, but I'm sure I can make do without

eh you'll get there. When I first started riding, I was terrified of the freeways. Swore I wouldn't go on them for the first 3 months while I learned. 1 week later I was doing short test runs on there, 1 month later I was testing the waters with lane splitting/filtering lol. Somehow I'm still here.

I pretty much only own my truck at this point for camping/road trips. Otherwise it doesn't really get driven aside from rainy work days, and moving it around on the street for sweeping days. Still love it and wouldn't sell/trade it for much if anything, it's just that riding is so much more fun and rewarding.

Interstates aren't really that bad honestly. Look at the positive aspects, all traffic is moving in the same direction with generally a median area between directions. Traffic lights and left turns aren't a hazard. Speeds, while higher, are usually pretty consistent among the vehicles you're traveling around. I'll admit other than when traveling to get somewhere I much prefer the surface streets or back roads myself. Hard to beat the slab though for laying down some miles in short order to get to the fun roads.

about to go full ass and order some Ohlin's remote res shocks for my street bob after work today.

Not too pumped about the price but I've heard only good things about them so here's to hoping they're worth it.

I love Hondas and my little Rally, but if I had it to do over.....I'd have gone with a T7. YZ's have been the only Yamahas I have owned, but never had a problem with them.

I put Öhlins on my 848 and ran (flogged) it for 8 years with no problems and cannot speak highly enough about them. Actually just called around and reached out to Öhlins directly and just found out they apparently dont make anything for my Diavel that’ll work for my weight front or rear. Have run into that with every mfgr Ive called actually so not sure what to do at the moment. Had my heart set on having em again. :(
Hubs is putting them on his Electra though so at least one of us will have it.

Ohlins is great stuff no doubt. Might check out Penske too, they're close to you in Reading, PA and set them up for your needs spring wise.

The King Offroad Suspension of motorbike bling. You won't regret it. I have the electronic Ohlins EC2 on my Tuono and it is NICE. I've seen a handful of Harleys with the gold remote resis and they look so bitchin.

I'm surprised that the Diavel isn't already shod with Ohlins from the factory. Or is that reserved for the S models?

The S has Ohlins, base is Marzocchi. Im 120lbs though, have had to rebuild every bike to not ride like crap. Not enough adjustment and I aint gaining 50lbs to sag it out.

time to hit the PED's and bulk up

i always wonder whether it's worse to be that underweight, or severely overweight, as far as motorcycle riding goes. it looks like most bikes are sprung for people between 160-200.
