Never seen Bookers in NC, good finds!

 

Im on buddy terms with my local ABC clerks. All of them say if it makes it 48hr on the shelf its a surprise.

One store says they keep them behind the counter for reservations if they don't getuch, and they rarely get more than 2 cases.

I wasted no time with this one. It’s been a year or two since my last Full Proof bottle. Damn this stuff is tasty!! I’ll be going back for a second bottle.

 

Whisky Wednesday

 

Good choice. I've bern drifting into a lot of Scotch and Irish whiskey lately for a change of pace. Talisker 10 is banger.

 

I like to change pace now and then as well. Variety is the spice of life!

Talisker 10 is the bottle that hooked me on Scotch years ago. I'll always have one on hand, and I'm doing my best to preserve the few CS bottles I got from the UK.

 

WT 101 followed by Rare Breed Rye

 

Done! Have a few more need to finish up

 

How is it?

 

Alright, I bought this bottle in September because I saw posts here and there raving about it.

Well, it was cheap as shit and looked like something you’d find sitting with a “Anything Helps, God Bless” cardboard sign on a street corner so I just let it sit there in the cabinet.

Decided to give it a shot tonight.

…not bad. Smooth, sweet on the front end. I still like EW BiB better at this price point, another Heaven Hill bottle.

 

I really need to find a Weller that isn't SR or I'm going to lose my god damn mind

 

Mellow Corn is the best way to whiskey slum.

You’re in Texas. Last time I was there I saw a 12 year black label in the first store I went in. You got a better chance than some of us.
