Mmmm, seems more like an excuse. But whatever. Good luck.

How is that an excuse? I can only drive one vehicle at a time, I live by myself and tow my home around behind me. Definitely not conducive to having multiple vehicles that suit specific isolated use cases.

Difference of perspective, i guess. Living in a camper is only 1/2 a step away from being homeless. But to each his own. Like i said, good luck.

Ha ha ha! this thread is hilarious. Who would have thought a rivian owner would have got a backlash in a forum strictly for Tacoma owners?

I make the homeless joke often. It’s surprisingly nice not owning a house and all the associated junk that comes along with it anymore. It’s also incredibly cheaper. I do miss having a garage to work on toys in though.

Are you on that quest for 50 posts to sell something? Seems like a lot of activity today for someone that has been around for 5 years.

This forum has never been strictly for Tacoma owners. There are a ton of us who have remained active on the forum after selling our Tacomas. It’s a good community of people with a whole lot of topics that have nothing to do with Tacomas or even trucks at all.

These forums turn negative real quick. That's why I usually avoid them. Everyone runs their mouth. Someone always knows more than someone else. I get it. Enjoy your rivian I'm sure it's fine if that's what you want

And yes. I have a 2018 I'm looking to sell that I built up. I don't make the rules, just do what needs to be done.

It may not be the reason people buy a Tacoma but often is the reason they sell. Things change, life happens and the Tacoma isn’t always adaptable to that.

Conversely, a 2023 F-150 has basically the same power, payload and towing of a 2008 super duty diesel. Point being is that full size trucks are constantly competing with each other for more capability.

The midsize truck market has been completely stale for 20 years.

It really depends on a personal preference and usage. We bought a used Tacoma for a little farm. But realize I enjoy driving more than my LX and my gas sipper. I know another guy who's Rivian is his town car and TRX his farm truck.

Out of all the fancy go fast trucks on the road I have seen more people putting TRXs to work doing truck things. Seen them loaded up headed to the dump, seen people using them to do home improvement work. I was kind of impressed to see them being used as trucks. I can't recall seeing anyone tow with a TRX.

Well damn that old S-10 tore that Rivian up the S-10 got it worse but it's a regularcab truck that was designed in the 1980s.

I was in the EV industry for years, it's all a scam, just like 'muh man-made climate change'. EVs are not "green" or sustainable. Hey, you drive a gas hog, too. How dare you! :D

Funny, as I read this a neighbor is revving his Ford shitbox and spewing his smoke machine into my window ruining my once good Friday. But I'd like to meet the person (seems we have) who agrees to the sentiment that living creatures breathing noxious poisonous fumes from vehicle exhaust is okay and zero and near zero emission vehicles are a scam. They need to take the red pill.

I will keep my 'like' of your comment.
