That distance seems hard to get. I THINK Springfield Sportsmans has a 300yd....

 

Around here, you're unlikely to see a range that long. Ames in Easton has a 300 yard range. Off the top of my head the only other possibility would be Harvard Sportsmen's Club, https://www.harvardsportsmensclub.com/

 

I never got on the bike yesterday. My wife reminded me that i was ill earlier in the week and still dehydrated, so it would likely be impossible to keep up with the hydration requirements needed for a bike ride.

 

Ah okay I thought they had a 500yd awhile back.

Westfield is 300yd as well

 

Sportsmans? If so..i havent renewed in about 3 years but you could bring a guest, but no shooting. They can watch. Not sure if that changed.

You might be able to up in Northern Maine somewhere.

 

I've never been there, my buddy and his dad were members there awhile ago that's the only reason I know of it. I'm a member at Westfield, it's 3mins from me

 

What do you need a range that long for practicing for a long range event?

Granby mass has a long range, i guess they only accept you if you are with someone or join

I want to brush up on my long range stuff.
Been a long time since I've gone out past 300, and would like to be able to.

Figured 300 is pretty typical around here.

Friends have a boatload of land up in the NEK... but, that is a freaking haul to send some money downrange.

 

Private land is where it's at for really long range. I attended a training event a couple of years back that was hosted on a private range, we weren't using the REALLY long range, but the shooting position was pointed out to us; "See the clearing across the valley? That's a half mile (2640 ft) from here (here being the range we were standing on) and the land owner (not present at the event) has a shooting position up there that he uses when we're not around." Everything between the two positions is owned by the same person.

 

I only need 7 yards of range for this hand cannon. S&W Model 340 PD, J Frame, .357 magnum. It’s a fire breathing beast !

 

I shot one of those... once. With .357 Magnum ammunition five rounds was enough for me. My accuracy was okay, but my hand and wrist hurt for a week.

 

It's much tamer with .38 Special, even +P isn't too bad.

 

I have a 642 which is a bit heavier. I put Ergo Delta Grips on it and it's a lot tamer to shoot now.

 

My friend Paul Gazda was a member there until he moved to Tenesee with his family to move with Smith an Wesson.

 

Easy shooter. Model 43C, .22, 8 shot cylinder.

 

I have one of those too. Not a whole lot of recoil.

 

Recently joined Springfield Sportsman’s for their nature preserve/bird hunting across the street but they do have a 300 yard rifle range. Haven’t used any of their facilities yet but it looks nice.
