You're telling me I shouldn't short shift it at 2400 rpm? That can't be right

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Pff double clutching, setup flat shift and it'll just ignition cut while you pull the shifter

I just did no call no shows till they fired me because I wanted to quit... there was no management so every one of my co workers acting like one was annoying... didn't want to quit bc I wouldn't have qualified for unemployment

Burned my paid time off, collected my check, waited for my notice of termination, filed for unemployment

Ouch. Typically, unless it was a lay-off or proven wrongful termination - unemployment isn't awarded. Your state is probably different. Here, that shit wouldn't fly at all. 'no show' is job abandonment.

He's got a great wash/detail setup there too.
I wish vehicle storage options were more varied and available. (Not necessarily just serving the luxury market) I looked all over the city for a version of that and really all we have is put your shit in a storage unit if the facility allows it or use that Prkd site to rent someones literal house garage to park your car in. (nope)

VW programmed their DSG sport mode in the wagon so weird. In regular auto mode it shifts so quickly you're at the top before you know it, so I thought, well the Minis are fun in sport lets see what VWs got, but try auto-sport and after 1 to 2 the thing hangs so high like it doesn't want to shift at all, you have to give it more or just use the paddle. Over here hanging out at 4K and have to go further for a shift. Manual mode its all good, you'd just think they'd have a happy medium.
Apparently the APR trans tune fixes it and there are some custom driver mode options to help a little. Was just surprised. Hadn't messed with a bunch yet. Overall dig the transmission though.

It's trying to let you get into the powerband more. The regular tune is always Eco minded, highest gear you can be in the better.

It just hangs a lot higher than any other sport mode I've tried. Regular tune is great for daily though. I'm still trying to wait until winter when warranty is up to tune it, but it's tempting.

That's what I usually do. Just fun to mess with the options they have and see what they're like.

I don't blame ya for wanting to mess with it, I mostly drove in manual mode with the DCT in the BMW but I modified my sport mode too it would shift earlier than the planned point if it saw me decrease pedal input which helped the weird lag before next gear. I also had sport mode turn the shift speed down to 5ms. Normal is 14ms and stock sport mode was 8ms. At 5ms I had to decrease the torque punch a lot to avoid breaking loose on even slow engine speed shifts.

5ms is so quick! and the fact that you could change settings like the pedal input is great. I know I've read the DSG can do 8, but I haven't dug in yet to learn more. I figured while I'm still all stock I don't need to jump in yet, but I will.

I've had a few days where I've just gone on a drive because I enjoy it and one side of my brain is going, "It's a daily wagon you don't need to do anything, at least yet, just enjoy the road," and the other side is going, "yeah but at least with just a stage 1+ you'll be at 250ish+290s torque, this road would be more fun."

Eh... put an off the shelf tune on it, they're harmless.... and fun. Heck buy and intercooler and catless downpipe and run a stage 2 haha
