    Never seen a 72 Hot Wheels.. Bought my first 72 Chevelle when I was 14... paid $250 bucks for it sitting in a guy's back yard. Wasn't anything special but it was mine and paid for!

    The only difference I know on the 71 - 72 is the front turn signal. Don’t remember which one had the space in the middle, want to say 72? I should know this because my friend had a really nice 71

    The 72 was a 1 piece.. the 71 was a 2 piece or rather had the bar across the middle (so backwards from the years) but the grill was also different on the SS with less chrome strips across.

    Yeah 71 was two piece. This was my friend’s 71 SS. Just got it back from the upholstery shop and was heading down to get the deck stripes painted on.

    And see how the grill just has the center chrome strip? The regular grill also had a chrome strip above and below the center line so it looked like 5 lines
